Transmission: 700
looking for a swap shop...

I have a 1991 camaro 305 tbi im going to be purchasing a 1996 LT1 5.7 corvette engine along with the harness. and i was looking for a shop that does swaps. i live in Fontana but im willing to go to L.A and Orange county. thanks

The 97 was the change to C5, they started with the LS1 then. Before that it was LT1s and LT4s.

Paul Ls1f1 on this board also does engine swaps. If he has time, he might be able to help you out with it.

i think i heard of Don lee before but either way ill see what Cunningham says thanks...just for kicks is it passable i can take this task on myself considering that i have access to a shop and proper tools. i feel up for the challenge only big problem i would have is connecting the wiring harness.

Thanks Russ but I have my hands full at the moment fixing my buddies car that Best of show coachworks f'ed up. I'm taking the whole car apart and putting it back together the right way. Plus I'm doing an LS! swap at the same time.

u have to do alot...

if its ur first time i say tell ur friends to help you out..
if not u should check out other people build threads..
ull save a tons of money if u do it at your house.

The mechanic doing my L98 swap is almost done and he says he does LT1 swaps too so he might be able to accomodate you. He's out in Moreno Valley.
