WTT: my T-5 for an Automatic
OK here's the deal, I got a 305 V8 and transmission out of a wrecked 1987 Camaro for my Firebird's engine swap, the trouble is I want an V8 automatic, while the transmission the motor came with is a T-5 manual unit. I am looking to do an even trade with someone for a 700R4.
What you get is a transmission with about 68,000 miles on it and comes with the V8 bellhousing, flywheel, clutch, dust cover and shifter stick. I have never seen it run. the car was wrecked in a rear end collision and scrapped before I got the motor, but it appears in good working order, and I had it looked over by my transmission guy. there are a few things that do make this an incomplete unit, you will need to get a reservoir, linkage and pedal assembly, as well as bolts to hold the shifter stick to the transmission housing, you add those and you'll have a complete manual set up. As I said I am NOT looking for cash on this, just an even trade for a V8 700R4, just the tranny and torque converter. The shifter and cooler lines I don't need.
Since I currently have no way of delivering this beast it's best if you are close and/or willing to travel to either pick up or meet part way. The transmission is being stored at my friend's home in Pinion Hills, CA since it's for trade, NO SHIPPING! I will take photos on request.
I may also consider a trade for a TH350 transmission.

61 views and no interest?
OK, even though I'd much rather trade this, I am willing to sell the Transmission, Price is $500.
remember, it's for Pick-up only or you arrange shipping, I do not accept paypal, only cash in person or Money Order.
I will put this ad on the For Sale board on Monday.

Are you in a big hurry to trade? I may be able to come up with a 700r4, but it wouldn't be overnight. I would be interested in a T-5.....
