Socal Thirdgenners club meeting and picnic talk
Saturday June 7th will be our next car club meeting. Our usual place is Ricky & Ronnie's Cruise-In Diner in Torrance, CA. http://www.rickyandronnies.com/ for directions.
Official start time is 6pm, but we start gathering in the parking lot at 5:30pm. The meeting runs until about 8pm and then we have dinner in the restaurant.
Items to discuss include the results from the L.A. Invasion, including video. We'll also talk about the date for the club picnic.
Please post if you plan to attend.
Also, every year in June or July we have our club picnic and bar-b-q at Mile Square Park in Fountain Valley, CA.

I suggest we have the event on Saturday July 12th, the weekend after the Fourth of July.

I will not be able to attend this month's meeting. I will be looking forward to the picnic though. Will the videos of the cruise and speedway be posted after the meeting?

Re: Socal Thirdgenners club meeting and picnic talk
I am suppose to be heading out that way Saturday night to a buddies house to go bar hopping in San Pedro with a few friends. If I do then I will stop by R&R's for dinner and the meeting. I have never been there. Maybe someday I will show up in a Camaro, but not this time. I may have my Camaro back fairly soon though- This divorce crap is getting pretty entertaining the stupid mistakes her side has made.

Don't know that I'll be able to make this meeting. I have a few different things going on that day. Gonna play it by ear.

Sorry about the caps thing. When I am at wok I type all my dispatches in caps so the truckers don't miss anything. As far as the CAT thing goes, I do have my cat on right now. I don't like it but until I redo the exhaust they will stay. So what's the color??

I am still figuring out my video camera and how to transfer from videotape to computer. I have the firewire cable, its just a matter of sitting down and doing it.
DCowboys, I'm not sure which grey car you're talking about, but it should be the standard thirdgen f-body grey.

Re: Socal Thirdgenners club meeting and picnic talk
I forgot to count the number of cars and number of people, but we had at least 20 people, so it was our usual meeting.
We showed two videos of the racing from Fontana about the LA Invasion, and we discussed the new ET's most people got. Then we discussed the Las Vegas Invasion coming up over Labor Day weekend. We finalized the club picnic at Mile Square park on Saturday July 12th. We also discussed the Big Bear cruise for September. Lon showed off his new motorized grease-gun, and Don showed off AFR's new 210cc cylinder heads. Pat also chimed in with his recent purchase of GM's alternator bracket to allow you to install a larger b-body 140 amp alternator onto a thirdgen. Unfortunately the brackets are discontinued. Then we broke for dinner, and more stories in the parking lot until they turned the lights out on us.

Thanks also to Lon for pointing out that my tires were low, some more than 10 lbs!
And filling them with his compressor/jump starter.
