The car owner is a service tech at my work. He has a green 66 that runs 10.30s for a full time street car and this 66 will see some street time but is more for the strip.

With 920 hp, low 12's would be a serious disappointment. I would guess low 8's?

Any 8s will be good, The car is on the heavy side and is not a "full kill" race car. The motor is setup for nitrous (300 shot) that will push it to about 1200 hp and maybe a seven second run.

Soon I hope, The car only needs three things done before a trip to Fontana. A rack and pinion steering and K-Member by me and then off to the header shop for a custom set of 2 3/8 to 5" headers. At my speed that will take about a year.

The 66 is off to the header shop and the Camaro is washed and back in the shop for more mods and prep for the next trip to the track.

Jerry, Care to show it on Oct 9th (Thunderfest in Covina, 1-9pm). You can just trailer it in. Reason I ask is we are always looking for new cars entraints- the show is full already, but I can get it in still because I'm not bringing anything myself this year and Terri always leaves a slot for me in case I want to bring something.

This show is focus mainly on an exhibit of about 60-80 full competition cars that are trailered in in big rigs. Then we bring in the public cars for the judging section. the show is mainly based on drag cars, butyou don't see many public cars show up with chutes on them

Awesome, can't wait to see how the custom headers are going to look installed in that beauty, you should update the thread with some pictures of the custom steering installation you did Jerry
