CamDragon, I need your name.

Dwayne, I need you to post your full ET & MPH from both n/a and nitrous.

Brandon, Frank has a Turbo Trans Am, he's not N/A but it counts as "stock".

New times. Finally got back to LACR and ran a best yet uncorrected at 14.785 @ 92mph. Amazing how just fixing some maintenance issues gained me near a half second on time.

You know what, I just realized these times were made while I was driving with a full tank a gas, I wonder how much difference if I ran almost empty it would have been, that and better shift times, because mine just suck-auto.

A full tank of gas, as compared to a 1/4 tank just nets you a tenth at LACR, from my experience. Your results could be different. Are you planning on going out again on Wednesday? We will be up there trying for low 11 or a high 10 second pass, look for us if you are out there.

Some of those are actually the Accel Superam. I guess it depends on what one's definition of TPI is. Allen

Why? Ive seen third generation camaros with SUPERCHARGERS driving on the street....All they do is take thier car to a crumy town and get the smog passed.. My buddys camaro has a blower in it... and on the DMV registration papers it says it has a 5.7 350 and it really has a 427 supercharged...

Yeah but that doesn't mean it's legal. They probably know somebody who works at the Smog shop and got them to pass them for a small price.

Trust me, i've seen it before

About putting my V6 on the list? I feel discriminated against

Dean- '87 RS Camaro- 2.8L V6- 60'@15mins, 1/4 still in process: well let you know the results once the finish line is finally crossed.

Edit: For the record, this is a joke, I AM kidding about adding me to the list-just to make that clear.

You can get a smog legal supercharger for a Third Gen. Doug Glad's 91 Camaro had a smog legal blown 383 with a Vortech blower. I think the ATI Pro Charger is also smog legal. If you have an older carburetor car, I think the small Wiend/B&M blower from Holley is legal.

What about the turbo cars?

It helps that I don't have any competition. No thanks, just leave me off that list.

So everyone rather that be a Turbo class? Vs the stock? Kevin just had mentioned here, when I mentioned something is that it was considered stock..

I was just curious to see the mix ya know.. Say the 350's there.. We know not all of them have the major modifactions as Jerry James, Don etc..

It helps that I don't have any competition. No thanks, just leave me off that list.
There is no turbo that is smog legal except the factory turbo in the TTA. That was only available in 1989 in about 1500 or so cars. To my knowledge there are no spare parts available from the factory anymore. You might be able to make a turbo 3rd gen from a turbo Buick, but you would have to change heads, and turbo Buicks are considered collector cars, so they aren't cheap either.

Ok so who is running the Non factory turbo here in So Ca.. With the information Russ has there.. They seem to be considered stock.. We know they all must have mods.. But if the turbo is factory That's stock.. Say for instance someone had the T-ram in a 350 stock.. That I think would mean Non modified stock 350. I could be wrong.. Is that a Factory piece.. Or Slp.. Now Im learning something new..

What I was trying to say in regards to trubo's is if it isn't stock, or a clone using oem parts, it isn't legal. There is no aftermarket turbo set up that has been given CARB approval. There may be some aftermarket parts on a factory TTA, but no total off the shelf aftermarket turbo system.

Actually, I went to Turbo City from don's shop one day back when I had the v6 Rs before I got the TA, and asked them. They told me that there was noting smog legal on the market for either the 60* v6 or the small block.
