If you're looking for someone relatively close to you, there's Drive Line Service in Gardena (310) 515-2860 Don't have any experience with them, so I couldn't recommend one way or the other.

I have, however, heard that Red Bull's Differential Repair in South Gate does pretty good work. They do driveline work as well. (323) 707-3113

What car are you looking for the d/s for? Your '95?

Yes, it's for my 95 | thanks for the #'s.

From what I've read & heard the 1LE aluminum driveshaft is the same for third & fourth gen vehicles. 2.75'' diameter.

My other option is an LS1 alum ds. I'll give those shops a call now.

ACPT is in Huntington Beach. I'll sell you an ACPT sticker for $8- They usually cost $800 to get

No mods no stickers heh

2.8... what/who/where is ACPT? Are they www.acpt.com ? that seems to be the only match and they manufacture
composite driveshafts ? sounds expensive!

you want the LS-1 driveshaft... has the bonus vibration damper at the front yoke.

now that i've taken a look at the LS1 vs 1LE driveshafts, i assume the vibration damper is the round disc on the front yoke?

do you recommend changing ujoints and endcaps (in addition to balancing) before installing the driveshaft?

if i do that, will they still use the original yoke with damper (or no damper)?

thanks!

correct.

yes. Get Spicer u-joints if you can, or NAPA 'super strength' are good as well.

I would hope so! (w/ damper, that is...)

Thats them. They weight only 4lbs without the yoke or u-joints. Smooth as silk at any speed.

A driveshaft from a wrecking yard is a worthless item. Definitely go with a driveline shop. ACPT makes VERY nice carbon fiber driveshafts, but be prepared to get your wallet out.

It's probably a bit too far for you, but WENCO in Van Nuys does good driveline work.
