Irwindale Speedway Car Show/Swap Meet
Well I just got back from Irwindale Speedway's Hi Performance swap meet, car show & sale...there was a great turn out and there were LOTS of people there! It was a car parts and car/racecar(Circle track AND Drag racing) related items only- type of swap meet- $5 to get in and free parking...
It was such a good turn out that they are having it again on May 4th...So I thought I would post and see if anyone was interested, we could enter the car show portion as a club-there werent many car there for show, mostly for sale, so I think it would look quite impressive to have a buch of 3rd gens all lined up and shining! Definately get some intrest from the racers... Its $15 for show cars but I think if we talked to them ahead of time they may drop the price abit for a whole club to show up...The flyer says "Open to all: Race Cars, Porches, Vettes, Mustangs, Camaros and Pre-'80 Collector Cars" I'm assuming that would also include Firebirds(I dont know why they even bothered listing what cars they would allow, but I assume they were just implying NO r i c e r s)
Just throwing an idea out there for a club activity...We have a while to figure out if we have enough interest to actually do it(May 4th)

Glenn is "Mr. Autocross". He has 2 Camaros. One is his primary autocross car and Glenn has even won a Championship with it IIRC.

If my car's body was all straight and repainted I'd be interested. Anyone know any hook-ups on body work and paint? Help a fellow thirdgenner out ;-)

Sounds like a good club event.
That way we can show our cars and do some shopping instead of just waiting around for the show to end.
