New to Southwest Region

I'm moving to the Southwest region from Chicago and was hoping some members would fill me in on what and where for a lot of stuff. I'll be in Bullhead City Arizona (Right by the pointed part of Nevada where AZ, CA and NV meet).

As I understand it, that region is immune from emissions, correct?

Where is/are the nearest AutoCross clubs? Las Vegas?

Car Shows or clubs in the area?

Good Salvage yards and Metal and gas suppliers?

What are the good roads to drive? Not looking for scenic as much as tight and winding.

Any dynos in the area? Dragstrips?

Anybody wanna be friends??

Re: New to Southwest Region

well I'm located in Cochise County which is about 5/6 hours from Bullhead City so i cant really answer to many any of your questions. As far as clubs go there is the Arizona All Gens Camaro Club, they are mainly located in Phoenix but they do things all over the state. Also I am in the Southern Nevada Camaro Club they are mainly located in Vegas and they do lots of cruises and get togethers. I wish I lived closer to there is I could spend more time with them.

In Cochise County there is no emissions but I dont know anuything about the northern part of the state so I cant help you there

From Bullhead City the nearest anything will be in Vegas. Not sure what you'll find there for autox type events since the only ones we ever went to were the SuperChevy show events. Phoenix is about 3 hours away as is the LA area for events. Vegas is much closer but you'll have to find the SCCA group to determine if you want to run with them. For dynos and dragstrips you'll likely have to go to Vegas as well. Same for salvage yards with anything thridgen related.

You will be exempt from AZ emissions there but I"m not sure what inspection they might do for the initial AZ title transfer. I've only done that in Phoenix where emissions tests are required along with a visual inspection to check the VIN against the out of state title.

There used to be some members on here from Kingman that might be able to give you some idea of what is available in the area.
