any plans for hitting the track ?

 

That was the original plan, however there is a Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series is taking place that weekend.... When we polled to select a date for this run, November 2nd is what worked the best for everyone. So instead of the originally scheduled Test & Tune as the Speedway, we're having the F Body Meet & Greet followed by a cruise down the strip.

 

dam that sucks just a lil bit , if it would have been at the track id deff have made my way out. i have to trailer my car since ive not had it on a very long drive yet and it still has some quirks that need to be worked out.

ill talk to the wife though ive lived in utah for 4 years now and still havent been to vegas so might still come out be fun to cruise around vegas in the turbo car

 

Yeah, we've got a couple guys in the club with some pretty quick cars that were looking forward to lining up with some local boys. Hey, if anything its an excuse for us to have another run next year when we can have a little fun at the track.

I'm talking to a couple of F Body guys in Vegas about getting the word out about our meet and greet so hopefully we'll have a great turnout

Make sure and take the time to go through your cars from top to bottom this weekend. Look around your garages for spare/used radiator hoses, belts, water pumps, alternators, etc. I’ve been on several cruises where any one of these items would had someone back on the road in minutes instead of hours driving around looking for a parts house (usually in the middle of nowhere) that hopefully had the part.

Please take the time to check your fluid levels, radiators, heater control valves, tire pressure, brakes, belts & hoses, air dams, and spare tires.

If you suspect your vehicle is not mechanically sound enough for this Vegas Run, please do not risk it.

The more proactive we are as a club the less the chance of someone having a breakdown. Our club credo is to never leave anyone behind so if anyone has any concerns about being left on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere... Don't worry, you're good
