An expert on third gens here in Tucson?

I think I have come to the conclusion that I need to find a mechanic that has an ear for problems with these cars, I'm tired of chasing and finding nothing. Does anyone know of someone who is good?

I'm from Tucson, but I'm far from bein an expert (still tinkerin around on things myself lol). What's your car doing?

IMO, alot of people are too used to the new cars nowadays. Seems like it's hard to find someone who really knows how to work on these cars anymore.

Omg, 8 mpg for a 305? Yeah, something is definitely wrong there. Is it like that all the time? How does it difer from a cold start to a warm start? Definitely check plugs and make sure they are not fouling on you. If you already did, you're good on that.

Also, how's the prom? Is it stock prom or is it tuned? I know when I got my car, the po had the stock prom (and a whole slew of other things done to it, as in cut corners). The car ran, but it didn't run the way is was supposed to. I swapped out the ECM (though that really doesn't do nearly as much as what a prom does, but I'm getting there) and added the prom chip the po included (despite him taking it out), and it made a ton of difference.

Just throwing that out there. Kinda sucks your car isn't throwing out a code, that would really help narrow things down a bit.

2kickassbirds: Yeah, that's what I was asking. If SES light was on, but from my understanding she said there wasn't one. Out of curiousity, what about connecting a scanner and have it read the statistics on it and maybe have it scan for codes just in case?

Had my car hooked up to data log a while back, couple months, she was running rich, but my injectors were clogged so couldn't really rely on it! Need to do it again, heading out right now to take the injectors out and have them flow tested, wish me luck!

Where are you getting this done at? Ask if they will give you a print out that shows you what they flowed at different PSI.

Thanks so much, and yes I will let you know, but same for you! Who knows, by that time I might have finished school for mechanics and everyone can come to my shop!
