To be honest I'm not sure, I've only been back a year, I picked up the camaro when I was in highschool in az, haven't had any rust that I've found, apart from the a arms and such but that's expected the clear coat has gone to crap tho from the rain, az sun baked it now the rain is washng it off lol

 

You aint kidding! Those hard lines are hard to come by! I couldnt find any for a good price and you know, If I cant find it!!! LOL, make sure you remember; The TPI serp and v-belt cars use a different set of hard lines for each one. You saw my IROC when You were out here, Andy... Remember what I did? I used the XRP braided SS lines and adaptors. Cost me $115.oo, but that was a bargain compared to a new set of hardlines! (Looks better too!)

 

Very true, do you have a list of the parts needed? I've never gotten an accurate list of what's needed to do that, and how did you connect to the lines I can't remember, were they threaded in both the rubber lines and the plenum hard lines?

 

Yes, Russell fittings. There are eight fittings you will need for the hoses, plus about 6 feet of hose. You will remember this replaces the soft black hoses as well. If you call Mike at Lopers performance and mention my name, he will help you and knows exactly what you need. (He has an '88 IROC and did it on his car.)

 

This fixes the "High rpm pressure drop" problem as well. With the factory stuff my fuel pressure used to drop to 39 PSI (Or so.) when at 4k rpm. now it stays at 60+ PSI at 4k rpm.

 

By the way there is an LT1 intake.. Just intake manifold sitting in a white 94 z28 vert at ecology... Its in the trunk

yeah, most def. i think this is the first 2nd gen i've come across since my purchase. i told my boss to get that 79 trans am i posted. haha, they took the ad off, and he's crazy he might have gotten it haha but he likes that foofoo european junk.

 

Believe it or not, that is an '89 TTA (Turbo Trans Am) He wont sell it, he's the original owner and it has 25,000 miles (Approx.) He even has the stickers! Says they came in the trunk and he never installed them on the doors and sail panels. I offered him 6k about 6 years ago when money was no problem and he just laughed at me. Does not run (Blown motor, he says.) and he even has the original wheels with the original tires!

 

i might have to go up and check that out. so sad.

LOL, you have a point, but have you priced a TTA/buick GN block and rotating assembly lately? 5 to 6k easy! (used!)

 

For that much just build a new one. TA Performance in Scottsdale will sell you everything you need including a nice billet aluminum block for it. And,yes, I know this because I considered doing it once upon a time....

 

If anyone was going to call on this, I'll make you a deal on a BW 9 bolt with 3.27 gears. Complete with disk brake backing plates but no calipers. Had 0 issues when removed from the 88 GTA but the deal I got on the 12 bolt Moser setup was too good to pass up so out it came. No offer refused as long as you can come pick it up.

the 89 sounds like it will win in a race but the 91 looks very clean and the 83 sounds like a whole new project

Yep! I took a tour of their facility by the airpark back in '05 when I bought my rear end girdle (Axle blew up anyway,but it wasnt their fault. They make good stuff!) They make both the staggered and stock style block, but as I recall the block is 6k alone... I watched their CNC machine make a set of their staggered heads. Cool!

nice eye! surprised i didnt catch that one. there is an old white car behind the ladies house, i always leave when its dark as hell, so i never get a good look. yesterday i was driving through the back in sunlight, slammed the breaks... i figured it was a chevelle (having not gotten a good look at it, and only see the back end) but yep! second gen camaro! flat tires, rusty fenders, the works.

anyone have the clips that connect the wheel cap covers to the rims? i dont know what they are called, but i need 2 if you got xtras.

edit... the 2 i have are different. looks like 1 front and 1 rear. so i am looking for 1 of each

 

Anybody have a pressure valve? Its the 4th line out of the fuel talk. Just need the valve.
