This is going to sound stupid but does a 92 camaro z28 5.7L automatic have a transmission cooler?

I'm not as familiar with all the parts I should be yet but that will come in time as I get to know the car more through and through.

 

it has one some where my 86 iroc has one in front of the radiator my 87 iroc has one built into the radiator just look for the steel lines on the passanger side engine bay under your engine.

Opinions vary on weather the one in the radiator is better than a stand-alone. Transmissions like consistent temps, so it is my opinion that the factory built-in is better for a daily driver. However, for a track car, use a stand alone.

 

i hear ya, i just get really worried about these older cars in this vegas heat sometimes, and something tells me that this summer is going to be hotter than usual, thank god the guy i bought this from had the work order to prove it has a brand spanking new and updated a/c system cuz I hate these summers sittin in traffic

 

LOL, just watch your coolant temp gauge. These cars like to over-heat. The L.V. summers can be brutal! These cars also dont have much for a/c systems, but they do work. I love mine, so I put up with that! LOL

 

I made it through a LV summer with no A/C in my third gen. The hottest day was 122*. I overheated but my car did not!

 

But you just said it. "No A/C" the condensor blocks the airflow and worse yet, adds heat in front of the radiator. My RS used to overheat on HOT days with the A/C on while at low speeds. The solution? Turn the A/C off....
