Hi there,

I relocated to Las Vegas last month and am trying to get my car out here but I need to see how tough the emissions test is before I pull the trigger. It's not exactly a 3rg gen (83 El Camino), but the El Camino regional board sucks so I'm turning to you guys for help. The car has a small block, non-CC quadrajet, no smog pump, no egr, new single cat, and a functioning charcoal canister. It did pass in Delaware where the do visual inspections (obviously they aren't to picky) so I have the tail pipe numbers if anyone knows what they need to be for NV. Has anyone passed with this sort of set-up in Nevada or will I have to add a smog pump and egr to be kosher? Oh, it was a v6 car originally, if that matters.

I would take it through the first time and see what it does. That is the only true way of knowing if you need egr, smog pump or anything else. Most likely will need at least egr for NOx. Not sure if the V6 to V8 really matters. Good Luck!

Best to go to the Nevada state web site and see what they require for the smog check.

no visual from what i can remember been awhile since ive actually smogged "my car" though

as long as your within the limits of the nox c02 bs w/e it is your golden
