Callin All New Mexicans!!!!

I dunno if there are any out there, but I'm here. I don't wanna be alone. Come one come all.

If I get enough or any at all I'd love to start up our own Third Gen Club. We can take our cars to the AZ guys and give em a what for!

New Mexico is a state, it's squeezed right between Texas and Arizona.

No thanks, I don't have the cash nor a way to get it home

I think the adnoun form for residents of New Mexico is "New Mexibots" Or for the particularly evil ones "New Mexitrons"

im down

What up my new mexican brother,
I live in albuquerque and i think it would be cool to get other New Mexico third gen owners together!! I been working on my car for about a year and i am hoping that it will be running by next week. The bad thing is that I am going to be leaving soon to go to school in Monterrey Mexico for a semester on exchange. I will be back in december. But until then keep in toch. I think it will be hard for me to meet up in the next couple of weeks with work, my car, and perparing for mexico. Umm... keep in toch and ill continue to write in this form and see if we can get more people to meet up and i am down to meet up with the group in AZ. But i will not be able to do that until early next year sorry man!! But trust me im down for a road trip!!!! And remember im going to have a car that been slowly being built for the last year and when its finallly running ill be leaving. So im going to want to drive that car as soon as i get back, road trip!!!! Talk to you soon!!!

Thank you for not flaming the little known state.

Sorry if I offended you by telling you where we were, It's a habit now days.

For the other two lovely New Mexicans. YAY! there are a whole 4 of us. I met another guy in the Body and Interior boards

FYI I am a girl, imagine that, a real actual girl

I am so not ready for a roadtrip till probably next year either. I just barely got the Bird to start but we gotta change a faulty O2 Sensor that is keping my MCS closed and not letting my Carb have anything to drink!

I have a 1984 Firebird. Nice to see you guys. If ya got AIM PM me so I can add you to the BL and we can chat about getting something started.

well i dont have aim right now since i am in the process of moving and i just cancelled my internet with time warner roadrunner and i am moving to an area where only dial up is used so i will probably be gettin aol soon....so i will keep you posted as to what my screename is going to be and we can chat and hopefully get the other two new mexicans to join us......and a female in TGO is new...well as far as i know there arent any ladies in here...so for me you are a first in here so welcome to the club....
and next year is fine for a road trip...i still need to paint my IROC, put some headers, CAT, Ignition, fix the fuel pump and get the gas needle to start talking, and get a new flywheel w/ cover....for now....so keep in touch girl through here and hopefully we can get something going since as far as i now all the action seems to happen in AZ

So far I seem to be the only girl, at least on these boards. Which seems to be something new to alot of people LOL. Not sure if everyone knows what to do.

I suppose it's rare for a girl to be gungho about cars and actually builds one herself, Most girls are afraid of getting their hands dirty, for shame, thats why *** made water!

Those stars should be G.O.D. Sheesh, it's not even a swear word

well you have to get creative with some words around here...and yes that is true....The Big Man did make water to clean ourselfs and drink...so i think girls should be getting dirty more ofter...specially with while working with cars...that is rare to see and always a plus....

I rather like getting dirt and oil under my nails. I take great satisfaction in rebuilding things or figuring out problems and having my repairs actually work. But, and that's a big one. My Husband gets upset sometimes because I don't wait for him and I think he gets alittle offended when I jsut go out there and start ripping the car apart and start fixing things. I am sure he feels alittle shown up. You know how you boys get when girls can do it just as well. ::ducks from the beer cans that will follow::

I did find other people on the boards from New Mexico and PMed them to ask them to join, but some of those people said they did not want to participate because of the comments some people made. I apprciate the ones who held back and kept it to themselves. to the others that made snide comments. ::Just shakes her head:: I am sorry to see a few board memebers not participate because of what others said and I am also sorry others saw the need to dis people from New Mexico. I may have lost some good members of a potential club and I am sorry for that.

To the other that voiced their wants to particiapte in a club and on the board, YAY. Let's actively try and get some more people huh?

I do appriciate those who held back and were kind. Thank you.

what did i miss? who made bad comments... The world isnt a nice place and if this thread is what has scared some potential member off then you dont want them in your club anyways. You dont want skeered people hangin gout with you. Then all the Honda and Ford guys will scare them away. Thats even if those people would show up to gatherings and not be scared of someone making a comment at a gathering.

It's a state and it sucks. who cares? AZ sucks too but at least we have Spring Break at Lake Havasu!! AZ owns NM

Well put SchwarzCamaroRS....we are all here for the love of thirdgens and thats it...although on a quick note...NM has Ruidoso, The Gila Forest, Caballo and Elephant Butte Lake and some other places near Albuquerque that are excellent for Spring Break and recreation...but anyways.....its all about the thirdgens in here and not about the states....

Hi Kandie!
There is a Trans Am/Firebird Car Club in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I have a few friends who are in it.
A close friend of mine (another girl who loves working on her cars) just picked up an '88 white Trans Am.
Don't know how far away from there you are (sorry, can't find my mapbook), but it may be closer that us Arizonans!
I don't think they are on the web, but let me know if you need more info on them.
One guy in their club collects convertible Trans Ams!

Have a good one,

George

Yeah My hubbie told me there was on in Albuquerque as well an I am about 80 miles frm Alb.

If I could get more info that would be great.
I am also a web designer as well and I would love to see if they need some web prescene. I specialize in Nonprofit and Orginizations.

It would be great to find a few people around here and In santa fe and such and get another one started.

Hi Kandie,

I'm in Albuquerque... I'm the one George mentioned who just got the '88 (white with a digital dash).

I'll send you a pm with contact info on the local Firebird/Trans Am club. There's a meeting this Saturday and also everyone will be over at the car show on Sunday at Cottonwood Mall. Maybe you can make it to one of the two?

And hi George! Are you serious that you have friends?! Ha!

Heck, I already promised George MaiTais if he can tear himself away from constant full-body wax-jobs on his fleet of Pontiacs! Sure wouldn't mind mixing a bunch out there in New Mexico too...

Hi eighty-eight!
Long time, huh?
Great to see you post over here Kristin! How's the new baby coming along? Getting use to sliding the rear end around in the turns? HeHe!
So, you think you'll make another trip out here to Kingman this summer (what's left of it)?
I got your check friday, will get it to the bank today. Send out the parts by the end of the week.

Hi Duck!
How are things going?
You still planning on moving out here?
Stll wish I could have met you in person awhile back!

Gads, don't wanna highjack Kandie's thread ... maybe you could start a thread something like "ThirdGens Living Big in Kingman" haha, or something like that and I'll tell ya all about my plans for moving over there and building cars. Right now I'm gathering info to buy house and property...
