Anyone want coated Heddman long tubes?
I'll go $275 on these if anyone is inclined. They're the ones CHP used to make 491 hp on the 383 test motor. 1 5/8 primaries. The article said the motor actually preferred these to the 1 3/4 hooker long tubes on the dyno.

Car: NCC-1701-D (docked in AZ)
Engine: impulse drive
Transmission: fusion reactors
Axle/Gears: Rescued from the Borg by my crew
I would, but I need 1 3/4....they preferred 1 5/8 because thats what their setup ran best with. My setup will not run as good with those. It needs 1 3/4. Nice headers tho.

Well I'm not going to try to convince you otherwise on a nasty 406, but thanks for responding. These headers are better suited for a few less cubes. A built 305, 350, or certain 383's would make max power with this header, but I want people to understand that a lot of what the manufacturers advertise is false. 1 5/8 headers will not choke a high power motor under about 500 hp peak necessarily. Plus they make better power through the entire range than the larger headers in most cases, and that's what you feel on the street.
Anyway, that's why I bought them. It kind of chaps my **** that I didn't get the chance to prove that on the board with results though.
Take care guys.
Erik

those fit your camaro, ive got heddmans that look just like that, well.. no as nice, and they have a couple dents in em... i bought em off a guy that had them in a firebird... as long as youve got a small bock v8 (305/350/383...) they will fit, you will probably need a custom fabbed Y pipe and full exhaust, but other than that... they should fit nicely

Yeah they're sold. I just got payment today.
Take care,
