So who's coming for the gathering?
Ok, so time is closing on the gathering date and we still do not have anything finalized yet. So guess I'll start with a few things that we need to know.
1st:
Who from Tucson is going to be there.
2nd:
Who from outside of Tucson is coming.
3rd:
Are we going to use the timeline that Willie suggested or are we going to use a modified version of it.
I will be making a list of all the people coming and if they are bringing anything for the BBQ. We need to get this information soon, especially since it was suggested that all the Tucson peeps buy the food. It would be nice to know exactly how many people are gonig to be here. Now we all can understand if something comes up last minute but let us know so if you are responsible for anything, we can get it handled. Also, for those who do not remember ******* time line, here it is:
Phoenix dudes:
Arrange a meeting place in Phx with a time (you may have already done this). Caravan to the Rita Ranch park, arriving at 10:00am.
Tucson dudes:
Meet at Rita Ranch park starting at 9:00am. Maybe bring stuff to barbeque and such. The Phoenix dudes don't need to bring anything but themselves. They are spending the time and $$$ to drive down to Tucson. We Tucsonans should pay for the grub. That's the least we can do because this get-together is being held here (again). We need to coordinate who brings what.
10:00am - 11:00am
Meeting everyone, show off each other's cars, talk about cars (what else), eat!!!
11:00am
Caravan to SIR to the show.
3:00 - 3:30pm
Assemble at either Dirk's or my house ( both at Rita Ranch).
3:30pm
Caravan to DMAFB, where group pics will be taken. Or choose to stay at the show or go home or whatever.
5:00pm
Dinner at Hooters (or wherever) for those who want.

Count me in. I'll be coming down with the northern people on the 15th and also driving back with whomever that night. I'm trying to get a guest but more than likely it just gonna be me.

But of course, I am going to be here. I just happen to have that weekend off. Wife and kid will be there, too.
I am trying to help GTA4ME and his wife get her car up to par for the event. I am also trying to get Chuck's car back from his dads for the event.

Sergio, we are having it the weekend of Super Chevy. It will be the 14-16 of this month. Good to see that you came to your sences. Yeah, I havn't been out much lately. Buying a house and trying to collect parts for my Z have taken up most of my time. Good to hear from you.

Glad you are back, Sergio.
Chris,
I am getting my hood painted tomorrow by a place here in town. It is only gonna cost me 225 for them to basically paint the whole front end.

I'm in, with significant other.. probably the only person coming from Cochise County. (I'm the only die-hard third genner I know of out here.. other people drive 'em, but noone's really into them for what they are.. 'cept one of my friends who just got shipped to Iraq. Gotta love the timing.)

Eric,
I'm assuming you're taking charge, based on the fact that you started this thread. I'd like to get involved but cannot commit because I may be participating in the show itself. This would involve I be at the car show most of the day. At this time though, it's looking like I won't be racing. I still might end up entering one of my cars into the show.
In any case, we need to get a total head count first so we know how much grub to bring. Then, the Tucsonans need to determine who's bringing what and how much to the bbq.
For you guys who've never seen my cars; assuming I don't participate in the show, which should I bring?
1) My original and super rare anniversary convertible?
One of two verified with the 305 TPI / 5-speed or
2) My supercharged coupe?
First third gen I know of with an F1 ProCharger,
First third gen with a custom twin hi-flow intercooler (worked with ATI on this "kit"),
First third gen with a true dual system using stock routing and a pair of polished chambered mufflers,
Dashboard electronics that make the brightest Xmas trees look dim,
to name only a few mods.
I vote to see DJ's B4C.
Willie

Meeting
Definitely bringing the B4C (Have to bring the light bar cuz it's attached!). Will Mickey Mouse some switches so that I can turn the lights on (haven't got a REAL switch box yet).
Trying to get my neighbor to come up (he has 92 Camaro) then will have his wife drive my "Heritage" (see HISTORY forum, "Really really RARE?").
I'll get the camera out tomorrow and post some pics.
How about that Smurf guy from S.V., when are you going up?

Whoops.. I blanked on DJ.. sorry man, I associate you with blown chevelle, not thirdgen
I'm all about the B4C
I plan to be hitting 90 'bout 8am.. or we could do a group thing, meet up at.. uhh.. ..... I'd say dunkin donuts, since it's close to the highway.. but I fear how many people would be there saturday morning.. I'll ask my friend who works there how busy they usually are at 8 am on a saturday.. hopefully people are still generally sleeping

B4C Pics. As promissed!
Here's the B4c. Have a friend that's gonna drive the "Heritage", as long as I can get it registered in my name in time!
Since a light control box was not with the car when I got it, I spent the whole day "fab'in" one from stuff I had laying around. It's a little getto, but it will work. Don't "diss" it or I'll have to pull ya over!

Oh yeah...
Is the schedule at the top of this post the latest "approved" schedule?

The schedule posted at the top is the latest approved "outline", I believe... The listed meeting time seems to be generally accepted, though.. so 9-10 arrivals.. I personally want more BS time before the show than an hour, so I'm leaning towards the 9ish arrival, which is why I'm leaving at 8.. what happens after that remains to be seen. The listed activities are good suggestions, with an offshoot activity for those who don't want to do pics on base, possibly with everyone gathering at a restaurant for dinner... times will probably fluctuate after the inital meeting... etc. There's know way to get a clear concensus of what people want to do with the slow conversation times of the boards.. so.. yeah. As I've stated, I just want it to happen. Not many avid thirdgenners 'round here.. be a welcome change.. veteran's memorial park isn't what it was a couple years ago, by a longshot, and I lacked the knowledge to truly appreciate it then

I'm in the same boat. I could really care less what we enevitably end up doing as long as it happens. I just want to finally be around people that understand and appreciate the fact that I talk about my Camaro 24/7. Ohh, and REGARDLESS of where we are, I'm still taking a $%^&#! load of pics...
