i've got no luck with auto's. next deal i get, a stick is going in. done with this chit. how long will this one last? a "good" converter could be close to a swap, price-wise?
may as well swap my front coil springs while its in the air. yesterday i couldnt push down or pull up on the front end. stiff as a board and sitting silly high in the front. too much weight taken out? thoughts?

Engine and transmission are out again, lol. Had to get a part from Will and put it in the tranny pump since he accidentally left it out. I also forgot the Torque Arm mount, so that justified it being pulled out again, as well.

I was just thinking, if you're planning on 5-speed swapping it, would you be interested in selling the 700r4 tranny cooler lines and cooler?

well guys, i lost my first race in the iroc today. one of the SRT's got me by about 2 car lengths. i did beat one of them, but im disappointed of course. traction is a joke. i cant use more than 50% throttle in 1st and half of second. time to sort this suspension out. never used the bottle. no point. so i drop to #2 on our local "list". very pizzed off.
the beating; head hung low in shame.

^^^^ agreed. try letting some air out of the rear tires. if your doing a burnout, do a quick one .just enough to clean the tire. no more. street tires are made to resist heat. they don't get sticky, the get slippery.
man, your strip has ALOT of intersections.. that could get sketchy quick.

couldnt afford a burnout, cords hanging out of the drag radials. 22psi. 255/50/16's. total joke. i just looked and cords are hanging out of the side of the tires. they're a white color. wife told me to buy some used tires. she dont get it.
every side road is watched/blocked by others. any other car on the road and its instant abort. no winner.

4th of July, and the bungees are to allow more air under Will's car, something about the nose drooping down.

Man those cars look good! Nice camera Ducky. Btw found a vortec engine, but the shop delivered a 305 vortec instead of a 350. Should have the correct one by Wednesday. Didn't even know there was such a thing.

LOL. I posted in it a couple days ago. I'm wanting the chin off it.
So I put the car back on the ins, I wanted to drive it more than stare at it. I put the aluminum driveshaft I got from L98 in today, started raining before I could address the trans leak, but I'm thinking front pump seal, there's droplets of trans fluid on the oil pan.

Re: Official Tampa, FL Area Thread
So my carpet in my car was REALLY bad
And it smelled as bad as it looked. So I decided to rip it all out in between the rain (which ya'll know has been constant) to see how it looked.
The other reason, was that after seeing all of the problems that 84ls had, I wanted the security of knowing what the floorboards were like.
The backseat area is not too bad, but there is some superficial rust in the front floorboards, probably caused by one of the PO's exploded heater core.
My basic plan is to redo the interior with bedliner. Why? Because I like the bare look, and it comes in black. I know I have a ton of prepwork to do, and how to do it, but I have never used bedliner stuff before. Any of you guys have any brands to use or to avoid??
I think it'll look pretty cool with the textured black finish, and after i remove the rust, it should help prevent a return.

Re: Official Tampa, FL Area Thread
i've used the aresol spray on bedliner from duplicolor with good results on small parts. like an aluminum plate i fabbed after putting a b&m shifter in. the texture is very close to the original plastics. after fixing my cracked dash i sprayed it a few times too. most people wouldnt even know. sure cant give a recommendation on the floor. i think heat would be the biggest enemy? i have no carpet in my car and i can tell you the floor gets very hot after driving it a bit. floor mats help though.
is it ever gonna stop raining? geez.
