I'm also picking up coil packs with the harnesses and msd plug wires tomorrow. CL has some pretty good deals sometimes

Nice! One day I'll go LS.

Well 99.8% done. Trans still needs to be pulled for the tailshaft, vette servo, pan and boost valves.

While the car is up Ill do the motor mounts, and put the drop springs in. I might wait on the rear install, and clean it up and make it look pretty, as well as grab a two wheel peel internal for it. 2.72s IIRC.

It felt appropriate to pick up the rear for the Camaro, in the Camaro.

No isolators in the rear. Hopefully it'll settle just a little more. Took it on a 10 mile drive.

I dont know why the ibautogroup app keeps turning my pics. They are perfectly fine in my gallery on the phone.

Looks really good. Are you going to keep that top mount intercooler and the scoop, or will you go with a front mount eventually?

One step ahead of you just need couplers for it, and to repaint the hood.

Intrax springs. Loneroad would have to chime in as I don't know much about them. Surprisingly it rides really nice.

Ducky, I couldn't drive it if it was as low as yours LOL.

What kind of parts? Engine bay parts? Interior parts? "Speed" parts?

A little bit of everything. I sold my speed parts, but I have a coolant overflow tank, windshield wiper washer tank, torque arm, torque arm mount, SBC motor mounts, gauge cluster, 1984 Z28 ECM, cruise control module, gray carpeted center console, gray cargo area carpet, hatch pulldown motor plastic, rear seatbelts, rear seats, and there's more stuff I'm forgetting about

Grey rear seats and seat belts? I would use the windshield washer bottle too.

Yeah, I have all of those. Seats could probably use a cleaning, but they're in good condition.

If you could drive over that would be the best option. The drive to Orlando yesterday made me not want to do it again for awhile, lol.

If he doesn't make the drive to pick up the rear seat belts, I'll take them. Do they work? Meaning, do they still lock when pulled out all the way and then released, or even tug hard on them and they lock? Mine do neither and are always loose. Need them to strap my daughters car seat back there.

You can have the belts, I just wanted the rear seats and belts to have them back there again.

I forgot to mention that they're only lap belts. I also checked if they locked and they don't, lol. Doubt that they're really useful for much of anything. All this stuff is just what came with my car when I bought it awhile ago, and it wasn't in great condition so that's why I'm not asking any money for the stuff.

I've got a bunch of random odds and ends in boxes. I need to go though them soon and toss what I don't need.

I'll probably do the same if no one claims the crap I have. In other news, I got my floor pans finally welded in. Just need to clean the welds up and use some bondo on the seams to make it look purdy.

Intrax lowering springs. I might have the paperwork from when I bought them. might be able to find part numbers. They were a good set. nice even stance. if you have a real low exhaust of deep trans pan, or a wife that hits things. They might not be for you.

LOL. I'm gonna have to go with oval 4" exhaust pipe just to be sure. Right now unfortunately the crossover pipe is 2-3" lower than the kmember. Luckily the tires being right there makes it a little harder to hit it.

I was hoping the back would drop just a hair more, but it seems they have completely settled now. I am tempted to put the spacers back on just to see. I did however order the Founders on car adjustable PH bar. Only $72 too, made the choice easy. I think after I get all the exhaust stuff and the front mount intercooler squared away my next order will be subframe connectors. Getting some OT this week and next at work and I'm now a manager so it'll give me some money to burn lol.

So what height did that put you at? I removed the isolators on my rear and put hose back there. Dropped the rear another 1/2". Will get pictures once I get a new ball joint, rod end, end links, and alignment done.

Will you be going with the the poly or rod end phb? I have rod/rod on mine. Same with the LCA.

I went with the poly/poly PHB. Probably will do the same with the LCAs when I get them. I will get a measurement tomorrow for you.

Hey Jim, the springs put me at 26 1/4 front and 26 3/4 in the rear. Isolators in the front and nothing in the back.

You wouldn't happen to have the washer tank and motor would you? The JBweld on mine is starting to irk me lol. Plus my motor is shot and all the fluid just pours out, haha.

I wonder how much I would have to lob off the back springs to get that extra 1/2" drop back there...... I have nothing on the back, no isolator or even hose.

Jim, I think you would use like 1/2" heater hose for the back springs if you ditched the isolators. These Intrax springs so far don't make any noise yet without anything on the back springs.

Re: Official Tampa, FL Area Thread

i believe I still have a working tank and motor. the tank has a bulkhead fitting on the bottom of it for my meth kit. I don't use it, since I put the tank in the trunk. its in a box, in the attic......

anyone have the passenger side black plastic for iroc style taillights? I put the battery back up to the front, so I don't need the cutoff switch back there.

You are correct. I went with 5/8" for ease of install. The wall thickness between 1/2" and 5/8" is moot.

So, when do you guys wanna do another meet?
As long as I don't break anything (knocks on wood with a rabbit foot) I would like to hang out.

Seems like everybody's been pretty busy lately because there haven't been many posts in here in the last two weeks.

Me included, I'll probably be free for a meet in a month or so once I'm done with this semester. How about may 15th or 16th? I don't care about the location, I can drive wherever.

Re: Official Tampa, FL Area Thread

HOLY HELL! Trans is done and in and WOW! What a difference! Beyond my wildest expectations having never even disassembled an auto trans before!

No shift delay whatsoever and pulls so good at only 7psi. Way quicker than before with the bastard trans slipping. I beat the brakes off that thing, look at all the clutch material, LOL.

I'm down. Probably have an improptu meetup fairly soon being the rebuilt trans is in and working.

Impromptu meet Saturday? I'm off that day, anyone down?

Need to know who to try to set it at a central location.
