Cool, a full tank of gas is your friend if you're worried about traction there. I top mine off at the station by publix every time. (in the 2000 that is, traction isn't as much of an issue with the 91' because it doesn't make very much power)

I got a box with a nice and heavy sub in there to help. Im going to put some new spark plugs in there before I go. Going to try out those new E3's. Might do plugs too, not sure.

Well, I already made arrangements with work so I can be there... let's hope the weather is decent that day. I just wish I could find some better tires in the meantime.

Kool, you bringing the 2000 or the '91? If I could afford tires I would but I have enough tread to do with.

Does your car spin bad on the street? With your gearing, it should leave pretty good.

It can spin pretty bad. I kinda have to roll a bit before I get on it. When its wet I dont even have to try to spin. They do it without me knowing, Ill sit there wondering why Im not moving lol.

Re: Volusia County Florida!
You might want to try playing with air pressure then. On radials, the best I seem to do at Orlando is 2.2's - I swap to old worn out BFG drags and I go low 1.90's instantly. .3 is a helluva difference from just tires as stock as my car is.

Me and a few other guys are heading to OSW tomorrow night, weather permitting. If anyone wants to head over and check it out run a few. Its 10 dollars to get in and 5 dollars a run. Hopefully if the weathers good people wont show up thinking the weather will be bad and we get a good amount of runs in.

$129 for the compressor and $21.69 for a complete o-ring set. i got them form summit. they were on back order for a while though. but always shows up when you order from summit. mine came in excellent condition. i am going to try for the install this weekend and take the smog pump out at the same time. now i got to get r-134a to charge the thing. you can't win.

Yea weather.com says for Orlando thunderstorms from noon and on into the night. If it looks like its going to be bad at 3:30 I wont go. No need to burn gas and do nothing there.

Re: Volusia County Florida!
I get off work at 3:30 tomorrow... I work in WP, about 20 minutes from the track. So I'll pretty much know if I'm going or not by then. Just the same, I'll come home, wait until about 6, call the track and see what the status is. I've left my house here in a dowpour - and gotten within 10 miles of the rack & it was perfectly clear and sunny.
But, typically this is a bad time of yewar to try and go because it rains nearly every afternoon.
I just made a deal for some better tires today, so if I'm unable to go tomorrow - it just gives me more time to mount these tires up and recalibrate the speedo/shift points. The car should leave really hard on a 28" tire.

It's a no go, I just left that area... monsoon-like rain, thunder, lightning - the whole nine yards. I guess I'll try again in about a month.

Re: Volusia County Florida!
Yea, the time I went with mrr23's new motor and ran the Avalanche, we were out front about 15 minutes before they opened the gates, and I ran the Av 4 times within like an hour before I parked it.
Get there early and run a couple times, and then decide if you want to fight the crowds...

Re: Volusia County Florida!
Code 54 is Fuel pump circuit. So check your relay first and wiring. Could also be oil pressure switch too. I wouldnt rule ecm just yet if the car is running the same.

hard to start car. have to turn key and hold a couple of times. i saw where it said relay and pump and oil pressure switch. i know the oil switch is fine though. it also said ecm. i was just thinking since i had the other problem before. need to check on relay. really hope the fuel pump isnt shot. so where is the fuel relay at?

Re: Volusia County Florida!
Its with the three relays by the master cylinder on the firewall. I believe its the one that doesnt look the same as the other 2. I could be wrong. My 2 that looked alike were for MAF and MAF burnoff. Not sure if they changed them up by year or model but Ive seen different with other peoples cars.
