i Have a third gen trans am and im am trying to start some asap i stay in the jackson area my car got a 355 vortec motor with 1.6 roller rocker stage two 700r4 with a 2500 stall four link rear end with 373 gears comp cam 268

Not sure how far you are from Houston MS but there is a yard here with a decent bumper. I just took some parts off that car the other day.

Yep and a digital dash if it has one. My rims and Digital dash are good but you never know.

Hi, I apologize for posting here but I am new to message boards and can not for the life of me figure out how and where to post a question for the experts out there. The only thing I can figure out is how to reply to an existing post. This one had a bunch of activity and was recent so I hope someone is kind enough to help me. I need to ask what others recommend I have done on my 83 Z28 CFI (20k orig. miles). I am taking it to a new place on Friday for maintenance and I want to have all the fluids and such checked and or changed. I wanted to ask the experts on this site what they recommend I have the shop do for my car to keep it perfect. The car is very special to me and I want to keep it 100%. Can someone out there tell me how to start a 'thread'? I really appreciate your help.

They usually pull parts for you. If they are busy (they always are) I talk them down on price by pulling my own parts.

I got the digital dash and rear seats out of that GTA for $50.00 by puling them myself.

I have a 91' firebird and I've been looking for fellow third gen owners to cruise with or meet up at a drag strip for test n tune or somethin ! .. Moulton drag way has a really nice resurfaced track w/ 150' concrete ! .. It's called jake's drag way .. But I think LYNN drag way in winston county would be closer for y'all .. But it's not as nice of a track

 

Byram, MS here...... no longer have a 3rd gen. Have a 4th gen now and have no problem rolling with everyone if someone wants to set up a cruise.

Hey all, I sold my Z and I have some new and used parts that need a new home.

Used black console lid in good shape.
New Fidanza Aluminium Flywheel for a 87-up with a T-5 tranny.
V8 T-5 bell housing.
New master clutch slave and master fork slave cylinders.
New V8 clutch fork.
Aluminium spoke space saver spare tire with canister and pad.
Power outside door mirrors with inside control switch.
New 5.7 Tune Port Injection rear bumper emblem.
New 1985 front bumper nose emblem.
GM 10 bolt rear end, no brakes, with bad ring gear (3:23).
GM ring and pinion gears 3:45 for 10 bolt.
3:27 ring and pinion for a BW 9bolt.

I have more but I will list it at a later time. I will sell all the stuff in a bundle package to the right buyer if interested. Just PM me....I do not want to ship these items.

 

This thread is kinda old but I'm up here in Southaven. I don't see many thirdgens except for maybe 2 or 3.

I got a 92 RS with a swapped 358 how bout yourself

 

89 FORMULA, tpis miniram,383, RHS heads, T56,fast ez efi. I have almost all of my parts together for the 383, just a few things left and I can screw it together.

 

Sounds badass man. I've been trying to get a new transmission 2nd gear is out. Them suckers are hard to find.

 

If the RS isn't your daily we can pull the trans and send it to my guy, he's local and good.
I have a trailer so getting the car around is no sweat.

 

No its my daily. It does fine without 2nd just looses some acceleration. Its a stick so I just skip it and drive it like a four speed lol. But I do have a guy of my own down here right now helping me with it, but thanks for the offer though.

 

Ah ha! I was under the assumption it was an auto. Both my 89 and my sons 83 TA are stick cars which for third gens isn't common.

 

Yea that's why my dad bought the car for me so long ago is because it was a stick and he paid $200 for it.
