IROCZ,I`m kinda the same way as long as it doesnt conflict with Mississippi State football
DSMITH,I just had 3 days off so the next day I have off is sunday.I`m up for meeting sunday If everyone is off then. You dont have to work sunday do you D.I keep forgeting to go check out that dyno in pearl you told me about D.I`d atleast like to see what they have going on and if it`s even worth paying for a pull or two.

Re: any mississippi peeps
hey guys... Im still around, just been busy with work. My car is almost ready to come home.... aside from the fact I have purchased TWO bunk transmissions lately and still trying to get a good one. Thats all it needs to be back on the road and headed out for body work.
I NEED A GOOD 700 R4 for my 1988 GTA 5.7 if ANYONE around here has one... I still have that good 1986 t-top trans am with no engine or transmission...other than that its a whole car. I will TRADE the complete car for a GOOD transmission to go in my car if anyone is willing!
I would like to meet up with some of you local guys. send a PM and I will give out my number.
Chris

oh yeah, anyone else on here see those 3 thirdgens on craigslist? I don't need them, but I could probably use a few parts if anyone is going to buy 'em.

What parts do you need? I'm still thinking about checking them out I just hate to buy another car when I don't have a place to put it. It wouldn't be so bad if I had a couple people wanting parts.
BTW, your in on the other place we were talking about.

194 miles ain't bad!
Think you can make it? It's looking like sometime Saturday around lunch is going to be the best time at this point.
I need some good tan trim. I dyed/painted all mine years ago and now it's peeling up. I'd like to find some good stuff and go with that instead of taking it all back out, sanding, and redying it.

You can't drive a GTO to a F-Body meet. You have plenty of time to get it repaired before meet time tomorrow.

I believe you're going to spend about the same either direction you go. I'd go with the newer technology (and the newer stuff looks better too).

They had pulled one up the hill, but the other one didn't have any keys to steer it so we had to bring the trailer down to it.

Re: any mississippi peeps
They were in vicksburg. Pics may still be up on jackson craigslist.
Hey Kevin I think I bought some Z28 stuff from you a few years back and we swapped it out in your driveway. If any of those have some good tan interior panels that are nice & not faded then I need 'em. I dyed mine about 10 years back and they're finally peeling. Don't really wanna go through that again.
I'm also looking hard for a 12bolt or 9" OR a 90-92 Z28/GTA posi disc rear end if you know of any.

What color tan? Both of these are tan, but the early type (doeskin?) It's a pretty light tan.

As of yesterday I could use a rear hatch pulldown. Mine went into pieces after a hard launch, the plastic piece that the motor and pulldown rod bolts to broke and when all that came out the plastic guides fell out in half a dozen pieces. Must have been worn out to pop open like it did.

Most of the swaps I've seen are for a th350. if you're keeping the torque arm you will probably just have to find a good welding shop and have something fabbed up.

Dsmith. When you get ready to do the swap I`d love to take that t-5 off your hands.I know its probably tired behind your setup but I could get it built. It would have to be cheaper than the t-56 and a little bit more of a direct swap.

You are more than welcome to check out my transmission while its still in the car.
I'm not sure what year the 700r4 changed from 27 spline to 30 spline but if you have a 30 we can talk trade if your interested.

I would have to get the 700 in my truck fixed first.I`m having to drive my car more than I like now, almost as a daily driver, cause of no 4th gear in my truck.
the 700 in my car was rebuilt just over a year ago and its developed an issue.I was told it was the forward sprag. You`d prolly want to beef it up any way for your set up.It does have corvette servo and stage 2 transgo in it now and drives perfect under normal condition just wont hold 3rd gear at heavy to WOT.Slips about 90 mph under wot when it warms up.freakin sucks and pi$$es me off.
