Chattanooga emissions question
I may be moving back to Chattanooga and I was wondering what emissions testing is done. Do they do a visual check? An IM240 (sniffer on a dyno)? Or what? This will help me to determine what vehicles to bring with me.
Thanks,
Will

I just joined. I'm in the Chattanooga area and am looking for an 82-84 Firebird with T-tops.
My cousin took his 79 Firebird in for testing year before last and they at least did a visual inspection. The lady working there had no idea what she was looking for so he passed even though he's missing his catalytic converter. He didn't get so lucky this last time. The links below should hopefully answer some questions.
