I passed a flyer out today to modded out 91-92 TA (in the college parking lot). He said he would attend!

Re: Official Summer 2009 Houston Area Thirdgen Gathering: Post here!
you send me a PM saying i'm stalking you because i post in some of your useless threads, and you come post on MY regional board, for our biggest event in a while, and making a sarcastic remark? and i send u a civilized reply, and have since NOT even looked at your "threads" so i wont get accused of being a "Stalker" when i'm answering your ?'s. wow. don't clutter our thread, ESC can you delete this post and the one above me? this guy is a tool and this thread is NOT the place for his bs. oh and now he's gonna call me a "wanna be mod" for saying that.
I'm looking forward to this meet, has anyone done a rough count of how many ppl are committed so far?

Re: Official Summer 2009 Houston Area Thirdgen Gathering: Post here!
The reason I am on this thread is because I occasionally spend summers in you guessed it... TEXAS! So I guess it's both of our boards now. God... I really am glad you're not a mod.
I might be interested in those brakes and rear end. What do you want for them...
Now... stop adding to the spam problem, I'd actually like to see if I can make a meet in Texas. You might have a commiter right here. I'm going to be in Houston for a couple weeks. I'll be sure to take Rallie with me.

Re: Official Summer 2009 Houston Area Thirdgen Gathering: Post here!
I'm expecting at least 30 plus cars, but, if we have in the 40 - 50 range, I wouldn't be surprised!
This means, you guys/gals need to wrap up projects and get them together by July. There's plenty of time to do so. That's why I started this thread so early.......
When we start to get closer, I'll be pushing to a few more people to attend that don't normally check the boards.

I will be there unless I happen to be in South America on a business trip. I just have to be careful since I took the insurance off the car and let the registration expire. I will get the registration renewed I guess. Just haven't been driving the car except around the block now and then. Will do me good to get out with it.

Thanks!
You can take as many pics of it as you'd like at the July 25th show/BB-Q.
Here's a pic from the 2007 show (we didn't have a show in 2008 due to Ike)...

If others are trailering in their cars, I may do that as well. It's the weekend before a race, so I'll have to see how much procrastinating I can afford to do.
I really want to see Neils car.
Mike, just a suggestion, you may want to edit your first post to keep all the current info (dates etc) in one easy to find spot.

Well BLAST! Just got the new motor in the 86 TA and went to the exhaust shop just to hear a knocking noise in the new motor. Think a rod cap backed off. ****....i did not build this short block but evidently i should have....

Well, as all of you know, hot-rodding is expensive $$$ ..........
Hopefully Barry will come to the show with Sue (The late Zap's wife). It will be cool to see what's been up with everyone, it's been awhile!

We have a problem.
I just got word that all the pavilions are booked up for all the Saturdays through August.
Pavillions 4, 7, and 8 are avaulable on SUNDAY the 26. I tenatively reserved #4 for Sunday, but will have to get them some money by Wednesday if that is what we want to do.
Here is a map showing where the pavillions are:

Re: Official Summer 2009 Houston Area Thirdgen Gathering: Post here!
It's $125. But that isn't a big deal.
We could do it at some random place in the park. There are lots of picnic tables and BBQ pits. We could even camp out right in front of pavillion #1. There are a couple of picnic tables and a BBQ right there.

I say keep it same day same place, we'll just show up and crash someones party or find some empty place to have it inside the park somewhere. If we have to move over a bit, so what!
What do you guys think?
