Possible cheap 94-97 T56

How much would you pay for a 94-97 T56? Full setup from that car, pedals & all (or do those pedals work in a 3rd Gen?) Or at least what is the going rate around here (Houston area)
I think I can get a good deal on one but I'm not really having an excess of cash issue right now so I may consider passing that deal on to someone else if there is interest.

If it is a stupid good deal, I might be interested. If it's just an OK deal then probably not.

Re: Possible cheap 94-97 T56

Do the pedals and master cylinder from a 4th gen fit the 3rds?

Well I think I can get it for around 8-900... I'd be getting as much of it as possible, bellhousing, clutch, pedals (if they can be used) maybe the console & probably the crossmember so I could try N fab my own using that and the original in my car. I'm considering pawning my left testi for it if this is a good deal.. I REALLY like the idea of slamming through six gears..

It's probably an OK deal, depending on the condition.
I don't know abouit the pedals.
Try asking in the LTx LSx engine swap forum.

Re: Possible cheap 94-97 T56

I had a 95 formula, with 6 speed. The thing that ticked me off about the clutch set up was the clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder were built with no provision for seperating them, and had to be bench bled, before installing them. Chevy Hi Performance did a write up in 2002 I think it was, Which recomended, Buying a later model master cylinder and slave cylinder that could be serviced as seperate units. This info was a little late for me at the time though. My slave cylinder failed with only 72k miles on the car, mostly by my light footed sister.

I have seen an article about this swap somewhere on the forum. I think you have to go with the early 4th Gen clutch setup due to clearance issues.
