it was great. shopped around for 3 weeks for rebuilding a 700r4 (i had to wait to get the cash anyways, so i figured imight as well get the best price!). found them through a shop called ace auto care. dealt with puff (the owner) for the entire transaction, he even is the one who did the rebuild. base price was 800, plus 100 for a new pump and 25 for a new reverse drum. let me watch him do the buildup, took me into his shop and showed me what went wrong with it (it was my second tranny in 3 months, so i wanted to know what the hell happened), showed me how boost valves, accumulators, servos, and everything else worked, and even managed to use my old boost valves , servo, valve body, and some other stuff that was still fine since it was higher performance than the OEM rebuild. go in there, talk to puff, tell him matt with the whiten 89 camaro told you to come, and i promise you wont be dissapointed

plano transmission n plano. been doing business for 26 years, talk to jeff mcleod, he is the owner there. kinda pricy, but back it up with a good warranty and they do badass work. they are also usually on a wait since htey have such a good rep. american did mine in one day.
