Picture of Old Shocks from my 1984 Trans AM

This is a picture of 40 year original shocks from my car. Replaced them with KYBs Excel-G shocks last Saturday. Lot work.
These old units are totally worn out.

Transmission: 700R-4 w/2000 RPM stall converter
Axle/Gears: 10-bolt/3.73 ..

Was it difficult to break loose the bolts on the front struts?...

YES! Liquid Wrench penetrating oil which I let set for 15 minutes. I have a high torque electric impact wrench. Eventually loosened & removed.
The bottom was more difficult because I was impacting on the bolt head & not the nut. Got them off.

Were you able to torque the bottom bolts to the proper spec?...
