Felicity's 1984 Camaro Z28 HO

Re: Felicity's 1984 Camaro Z28 HO
Last minute decided to take another run and cleaning under the hood. I really have respect for you guys that can detail and make it look good under the hood. There is so much going on in there. This is about the best I can do by cleaning and not painting. I still need to replace the coolant overflow. I looked into washer purchase, but the ones I have found are slightly different. May take a run at cleaning the old one first.
Next step is trying to take stuff apart and repaint. A little at a time I guess.

Wow, I just read this entire thread! Hats off to you and your daughter, you guys have done an awesome job with this now beautiful Z28! Really nice work top to bottom, and rescued from under a tree...just, wow. My daughter goes into the Marine Corps next month, I never got to build a car with her but we have had other quality times that we will always cherish. I'm sure you guys wouldn't trade a single memory, just like us. This was my best read in a long time, great job guys!!

Great job! Beautiful car. Something she will never forget for sure. The early 80s Z28s are some of my favorites. I had an 82 Pace Car i built with a nice 350\ TH 350 swap right out of high school. My son graduated nursing school last summer and we are looking at getting him a nice third gen also.

I was going to install this:
but I need to touch up some of the paint under the hood. After tracking down the paint, life along with the weather took a nasty turn.
My oldest daughter and her husband bought a new house, and Felicty is renting their basement. She is ten minutes including walking time away from the hospital.
The same week, my mother visited her in the emergency room for what the assisted living nurse where she lived diagnosed pneumonia. Being unresponsive, they scheduled cat scan which showed she had a brain bleed due to a stroke. Still in disbelief from the doctor saying she will not recover and having to plan a funeral.
That being said, it's time for things to start getting better. Weekend weather is looking up.

Sorry to hear about your Mom. I lost both of my folks a year or so ago. My Mom had several strokes. It's not easy.

Looks like it's holding up well.
Had to make any repairs / improvements while you've been away? Daughter still driving / enjoying it?

She is not driving it at all. 2020 was good and bad, and too much detail will sound like whining. She bought a house in February and got married in October. Her garage was going to be its home but she likes parking her car in it so it's still sitting outside. I drive it occasionally, but mostly just wash it.
Due to job change I was going to daily it so I changed plates. I ended up getting a 2001 Monte Carlo to daily so only drove it to work once.
I replaced the rear shocks which turned into dismantle rear interior and washing everything. It really helped handling so fronts are next.
My 95 is giving me some issues and that is my next project.
