Haven't posted in a while, some recent pictures
I haven't been around here much lately but decided to stop by and share some pictures. I've been hitting up a lot of local cruise nights this summer and it's been a blast. I snapped these pictures on Friday night just before heading out. I still have work to do on the interior, but I'm very happy with how the exterior is looking. I saw two other 3rd gen Firebirds there, which is getting more and more rare at cruise nights and on the roads in general these days.

Thanks guys. Here's my build thread:
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/memb...rans-am-3.html
The LT1 has been a solid engine. I don't really have any complaints about it, but I have thought about swapping again to an LS3 or gen 5 LT1 maybe a couple years from now. I guess you always want more horsepower.

Beautiful car! Always loved your cars style. Lt1 should be plenty of power for fun....especially cruising with tops off...but with a solid sbc I’d wait till problems before swapping anything...just my opinion and maybe help suppress some of those power cravings you’re having

I love everything about your car. The all silver just plain works. The rims match perfectly and the size is right.
I can't help but wonder if the inserts in the front bumper would look better in silver also with the TA text black.
Now you have me thinking of doing the same to mine, but maybe with a darker silver for the GFX.
My only complaint - the rusted screws in your Grant steering wheel. Go to NAPA and buy some stainless steel screws.

Stunning! Perfect combo of color and rims. Looks like a totally different car from the original pic. Great job!

Re: Haven't posted in a while, some recent pictures
Thanks guys. I did post it for sale last year, but I've gone back and forth on if I really want to sell it. I'm going to try to fix a few minor annoyances over the next year and re-assess where I am. I really do like the 6th gen Camaros that I've taken for test drives, but it's so hard to pull the trigger with how much I've put into this car. And I do really like the feel of it, and it's starting to turn heads and get attention at local cruise nights now that you don't see many 3rd gens around. NoEmissions84TA, there are a lot of things about the interior that need improvement. I'm hoping to address a lot of them this coming winter. I have a 1991 Firebird dash and center console in it now and I've been thinking about going back to the original 1984 look entirely. I've gone back and forth on whether I want the more sleek look of the later 3rd gens or the more squared off original 1984 look.

Id rather have yours anyway rather than the newer Camaros. So many of them on the road i don't even look at them though I admit I've driven a 17 ZL1 and was impressed with the power but couldn't see s$!& out of it. You have a great classic and I'm sure you would regret parting with it.

Did you need spacers to get those wheels to work? Looks like they are 5-1/8" BS, so I am guessing just a 1/4" spacer, if at all?
