Power steering hi pressure line blocked

Power steering hi pressure line blocked
I rebuilt my stock steering box and ever since I reinstalled it it wont circulate fluid. I've narrowed it down to the hi-pressure line inlet being blocked. After unplugging the hi-pressure line from the steering box some fluid seeped out of the line. Upon unplugging the low-pressure (return) line from the steering box, it was dry and had no fluid in it. The hi pressure line is an o-ring type fitting, not a flared type fitting (just FYI).
Here is a picture of the hi pressure inlet on the steering box: It seems sealed, which would explain why no fluid seems to be getting into this freshly rebuilt box.

OK den, pop it out and clean it up. Unscrews right out.
D00d, it's just a car. Not too much magic involved, really. There's like a BILLION of em in the world, apparently these ... HUMANS ... have figured out how to make as many as they want, and they work for the most part. If "they" can do it, YOU can do it. Go ahead, you can DO THIS.

Re: Power steering hi pressure line blocked
Sorry, I had "pump" on my mind somehow...
You're right, you'd have to tear down the gearbox to get to that one. It's also possible that the problem isn't the fitting itself, but rather the spool valve in there, or one of the passages around it.
I think you can still get paper & rubber kits for those. They're not too hard to "rebuild". Not much goes wrong with them mechanically; they usually can be repaired pretty effectively.

Rebuild it. Always feels good to learn something new and save something that you'd otherwise use as a core or throw away.

If it's farkled, it's farkled. Doesn't matter who did what to it when or why. Mighta been rebuilt yesterday; but if it's gotta come apart, it's gotta come apart, and if you do that it needs new gaskets seals & O-rings when you put it back together. Which is all just another bunch of words for "rebuild".
To avoid both "slop" and "sticky" steering, set both the worm shaft and Pitman shaft preload properly. MUCH easier to do that with it off the car and in a vise.

Re: Power steering hi pressure line blocked
The box was already rebuilt, the power steering pump and pulley are brand new, and the lines are unobstructed.
Does anybody have any past experiences that would help explain why fluid is not making it's way into, or out of, the steering box?

xplain why fluid is not making it's way into, or out of, the steering box?
You've got 4 parts (well, maybe 5, if you count the fluid; that's gotta be there too) in the whole system: pump, pressure line, gearbox, return line.
If the system doesn't work, gotta be one of the 4. (or 5) If it has fluid, and the pump works, and the pressure line is good, and the return line is good, only 1 part is left. Not a real intellectual stretch going on here.

Box is messed up.

Original 3.72:1 box, I must have messed up during the rebuild; likely the thrust bearing, just going off of memory.
