Re: Car of the Month Bait Thread
My car is a 1982 Z28
All original other than tires and alternator (I have the originals) I did install a new stripe kit, otherwise the car is the way it left the factory
21,130 miles
LG4 305, 3 speed automatic
I bought the car as a tribute to my older brother who was killed in a twin car to this in 1989 when I was 13 years old. I have so many memories of riding in that car with him. It was his pride and joy, and I searched for 20+ years to find a car like his. I would love to be nominated, and my brother would be super thrilled, too!

Also, my build date is the 2nd week of September, 1982....so probably one of the last 82's. Even has the black engine like the 83 model year

Thanks man! Yeah, the steering wheel is literally 100% perfect. I catch myself driving with my hand at the top of the wheel every now and then, and as soon as I realize what I'm doing I move my hand to the 9 o'clock position lol. I'm a little paranoid with it

According to the 82 brochure, they just simply call it maroon

Picked this up this past weekend. 1992 Z03 Z28 Vert. 34K on the clock, all original except the radio. Been around here for quite a few years. This is my 6th thirdgen but first one COTM caliber since the 86 Trans Am I had when I was new here.

A lot of you could learn from this guy. It's not really a 3rd gen until you park it in the yard.
That's a nice car

Re: Car of the Month Bait Thread
As I was going over this past year's contests for the Wildcard contest next month, I saw a few that didnt make the wildcard list, but stood out as deserving honorable mention.
Now, I'm all about bringing in new contestants to avoid stagnating the program, but these are nice cars that I haven't seen too much of on COTM, so, IMO, these guys have every right to be in the spotlight again in the new year.
Note: I realize that oners2nv was a runner up last year (I will have the misfortune of competing against him in the Wildcard contest), but in the event that he isn't a COTM winner in 2019, I'd like to see him in 2020 because that car is a ****ing mosnter.

I did a little digging of my own too. Over the last 3 years there are 84 cars that missed the win. That's a gold mine of choices! I'll even provide the links right here so people don't have to hunt them down and can look at the pictures again. Great source of QUALITY cars to nominate again!

Re: Car of the Month Bait Thread
Hey guys and gals, my name is Craig. New to 3rd gen fourm. I bought my first camaro in 1991, it was an 83 beretta. A year or so later bought a 1969 camaro witch is currently being restored by me into a protour car. I was tired of not having a camaro to drive so i purchased this 1989 Camaro iroc 305 5speed car with 64000 miles on it. I drive it everday and really enjoy it. Someday this will get a protour rebuild but for now its just fun to drive. If interested in my 69's photos tell me

Re: Car of the Month Bait Thread
This is not the thread where the cars compete. This thread is where you can post your car for consideration in the monthly COTM (Car of the Month). That Thread is titled "August 2020 COTM Voting Thread". Look just below the sticky's and you will see the 2020 voting thread in this appearance/detailing forum. Just don't scroll down to far or you end up in last years voting thread, 2019. It takes a little getting used to not scrolling down to the "related threads" section. I see that is where your last post ended up.

Re: Car of the Month Bait Thread
Hey everyone I’m super new to the forums but here is what I’ve been working on this whole quarantine corona thing haha
car is a 91 z28 1LE 5 speed, yes I know a 1LE.
car has only 52k original miles and I got from a family friend of ours that just had it sitting in a garage. The first night I drove the car home I blew the original plastic radiator lol I decided to throw my style at the car and make it unique but if I ever go to sell it the car can be returned to basically Oem collector style.
Parts list: Full ridetech air ride setup, airlift 3p management, dual viair 444 compressors, mooneyes California flake steering wheels, mooneyes og black and yellow shift ****, RE Amemiya Aw7 wheels. Everything else is original minus some weird exhaust they had on it from before so I have to change that here in time. Hope you all enjoy it!

Here's a few pics of my 1986 IROC-Z. The car just turned 19k miles a couple weeks ago. All original car other than tires, battery and Flowmaster cat back system (has factory style slashed tail pipes) It's loaded up pretty much as good as it gets for an 86. Posi, 4 wheels disc brakes, 3.23 rear end, TPI 305, t-tops, overhead console, etc
