2.8 v6 to 350 TPI SWAP HELP! No fuel
I have an 87 camaro and bought a 91 350 TPI motor from hawks third gen. Later found out it was from a formula firebird? Does that matter? Everything's connected. Vats bypassed. I'm not getting fuel pump prime. And no power from Aldl. Im getting 12 volts at orange wire on fuel pump relay. But when I jump the orange to red wire... nothing happens. I put 12 and ground to connecter over rear end and the pump kicked on. I put12 volts to pin G on aldl and the pump doesn't kick on. I wired in the injectors in the c207. The fuel pump relay even clicks when I turn key to on. Can anyone tell me if there's something I'm missing in the wiring? I'm using the harness that came on the engine (91 TPI) with the 7730 computer. I'm getting volts everywhere. But there's something still stopping the connection from the front to the pump. And help is greatly appreciated

G of the aldl could go to c of the relay. I can’t find a good schematic. The issue might be in c100.
Here are a few c100 diagrams

Re: 2.8 v6 to 350 TPI SWAP HELP! No fuel
I do think pin C goes to aldl. I didn't splice that wire to the (pin c) to go to the aldl. Maybe I have to? Do you know if the c100 pin out is different maybe that's why it's not getting power? I do believe my problem is in the c100 wiring but I'm just not sure what wire have to be spliced into nor where they go. Has anybody ever done a 2.8 to TPI swap on the forum? The fuel pump clicks when I turn the key so I know it's putting power to the prime wire, but that wire (red) doesn't seem to be connect to the pump on the other side of c100. I'm lost

Well if you got the pump to come on by jumping directly into the connector by the tank, the pump is at least functioning. You also have 12V at orange wire at the relay so the fuse is good. The relay is turning on or at least it is clicking, double check grey out of the relay has 12V when the relay is on. If all that is good, check for voltage at the connector near the tank and make sure the connectors aren't damaged on either side of the plug. If still you see nothing you may need to chase wires to look for damage.
As far as the ALDL test pin location, I cant seem to find the correct one either. But that is not terribly important. If you applied 12V to red at the fuel pump relay that is accomplishing the same thing just at a different location. The other difference with that circuit is it uses a different set of contacts in the fuel pump relay so if that contact set has an issue it could possibly seem as if the pump isn't responding. I don't think that is a problem here though.
Bottom line, check you are getting power through the relay to the grey wire. You could also jump 12V to the grey at the relay and see if the pump starts then, if so the relay is suspect.

Well I have 12 volts on the orange wire at relay. I don't have any volts on gray wire, key off or key on.. I jumped the pump to kick it on and tried to start it and it stil wouldn't fire up so now I'm thinking it's not getting spark. Also the check engine light done come on when I turn the key.. isn't this a sign of no ecu communication?? How do I wire in the computer to read with the car?

A8 at the ecm is serial data. It runs through c207 to pin m of the aldl. This is a orange wire. To get the check engine light to blink ground a to b at the aldl. B of the aldl is a white/black wire from pin e12 of the ecm .

I'm not necessarily trying to get it to blink. But from my understanding when you turn the key to the On position all of the lights are supposed to cut on for a second then cut of? That's not happening. Only 2 lights battery and seat belt. The check engine light doesn't cut on for those 2 seconds when I first turn the key. Isn't that Bc the car isn't reading the computer? other things I did was wire the injecters from the 221 connecter to the wires on the computer (7730).. I ran the tan/white wire from that connecter to the G4 slot on the 91 c100 (fuel control). Should I post pictures? At this point I'm willing to pay someone for a step by step over the phone wiring session. A custom plug a play harness. Anything lol. I really think my problem is the car being an 87 2.8 v6 and the engine, computer& harness is 91 350 TPI things in the c100 and 207 aren't doing what there supposed to do

Re: 2.8 v6 to 350 TPI SWAP HELP! No fuel
Never heard of the lights cutting out for 2 seconds.
The mil should be on koeo. This is a indication the ecm is powered up. The ecm grounds the check engine light through c207 e7 of the ecm. The ecm also gets a accessory power to power it up through c207 a6 of the ecm. You might want to verify .

Re: 2.8 v6 to 350 TPI SWAP HELP! No fuel
Ok so this is the original computer that was in the car. This ran the 2.8. As you can see it's a 2 connector ecu... next to the dash 207 is another connecter I think called the 221. I was told it has the wires for injectors and fuel power. Where do I splice those into??

Re: 2.8 v6 to 350 TPI SWAP HELP! No fuel
This is the 7730 computer I received from hawks. As you can see it has 3 connectors going in. And it doesn't have that extra 221 connector built into the harness like the 2.8 1 did. So basically I'm trying to find out is what's needed and what's not. And where I have to splice into to make everything connect. If anyone has done this before I'm willing to cash app or pay pal you money to FaceTime or video chat me and walk me threw this. This isn't my car it's a friends and I'm really trying to get it back to him before next week. Thanks!! I need all feed back I'm new when it comes to electronical and wiring. I thought since it was a camaro motor it should all just plug up and play... didn't know what I was getting myself into lol. My 85 has a Carbed LS with msd so mines was no where near this hard

Re: 2.8 v6 to 350 TPI SWAP HELP! No fuel
Here is what needs to run through c207
Vss, injector power, ecm diagnostic wire, check engine light wire, ecm accessory power ect.

Re: 2.8 v6 to 350 TPI SWAP HELP! No fuel
The orange wire might be the fuel pump wire with a 20amp fuse on it. This hooks to the battery. It also feeds the ecm power to pin c16 & b1 .
The black with white stripe wires look like ecm grounds that hook to the back of the passengers side cylinder head.

Re: 2.8 v6 to 350 TPI SWAP HELP! No fuel
Ok. Something else I just noticed was the orange wire with the fuse in it by the battery, has 12 volts when the key is off... but once I turn to the on position I lose voltage. What can cause that?

Re: 2.8 v6 to 350 TPI SWAP HELP! No fuel
I also noticed that when I have the key off. And put the neg of my volt meter on the injector connector and the red on the battery I have 12 volts.. but when I turn the key to on. No voltage

Re: 2.8 v6 to 350 TPI SWAP HELP! No fuel
Fixed the problem at the fuse. The ecu ground came out of D1. 12 volts at fuse now. But I think Ima just give him his car back and tell him I can't do it. The check engine light still does cut on when I turn the key. And even when I jump the jump and crank it it still does start. Which leads to no spark.. I'm confused. Everywhere has good information but at this point I'm in need of a step by step installation of a 91 tpi inside of an 87 car. I think everything has to be repinned *♂️*♂️*♂️ And I can't find a good right up on what exactly needs to be repinned and to where. FML

Incase you did want to diagnose the no spark.
