Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
I've been a little slow to respond to a couple of recent inquiries. Sorry for the delayed responses guys,...... but I HAD to deal with some matters here at home over the last coupe weeks before beginning any new transactions. Things have settled down a bit now and as of this afternoon I've responded to all requests that were sent to me in recent weeks. Sorry again for the delay and thanx in advance for your patience/understanding !

+1 to John in RI. Radio works flawlessly. Face-mounted aux jack works great! Highly recommended.

Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
Any chance you have an 82 Camaro radio with the aux port? Shipped to 50577. Thanks!

Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
I don't think I've got the "exact" radio for a 82 Camaro. IIRC the early 82 radios had orange backlighting and a SCAN button on the far LEFT and a SEEK button on the far RIGHT.
What I do have is a couple Camaro head units from about 84-88. These radios have a smaller SCAN and SEEK button on the left side of the faceplate and look like this: ( This one needs a better cassette REVERSE button,... shown as an example: )
I should have this type of radio with NO AUX, a Cable Aux, or a faceplate mounted AUX. The price of the head unit will depend on your preferences and the condition of the actual radio you select. If this is the type of radio that your searching for and need more info,.. just send me a PM and we can work on pinning-down all the details.

Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
Sorry sshoureas; I figured you were looking for the Chevy style,... but I don't have any 84-89 Camaro or Firebird UX1 Radios available at the moment. I do still have a few Camaro and a few Firebird 84-92 UM6 radios and a couple UT4's too. Feel free to check back as I do have the mid-eighties UX1 decks available from time to time - just sold out right now.
I do have a couple other Stock GM UX1 Radios,..... AUX cord is not available on these 2 head units. One is from a Buick and 1 is from a Olds. Both are Cassette with Equalizer and both are fully functional. ( cassette playing in both pictures. ) The Olds radio will need 1 wire spliced into the factory Thirdgen harness and the Buick is plug-&-play. Harness shown is included, mounting brackets not included.
91-93 Olds: $100
92-94 Buick $115
Shipping not included,... so post your ZIP code if you're interested & need a shipping quote.
P.S. Also still have a LOT of other factory Delco radios available too. Some Cassette, some EQ, some with AUX some without, some CD, some BOSE, Cadillac, Buick, Olds, Pontiac and Chevy. If you're looking for a specific type of Delco head unit,... juts let me know.

Do you have any 1992 camaro delco bose gold series tape radios with the aux port?

Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
While I've got a couple BOSE cassette and a couple of BOSE CD Radios, I've only got 1 90-92 Bose cassette,...... Sorry to report that I need to hold onto that head unit for my own ( testing ) needs for the time being.
The 90-92 Camaro BOSE cassette decks aren't a common radio& I have no idea if/when I might obtain another one, but - if you'd like - I'll put your name on my "radio wanted" list and will send you a message if I happen to find that specific head-unit in the future.

Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
I've had several/many members send PMs asking about doing restoration work since I first opening this classified thread, but I'm still not really doing much refurb work. I HAVE done a few radios for local guys simply because it removes my biggest "problems" with taking in other member radios; The shipping expense and the risk of damage when shipped. I know, I know, that sure sounds like a cop-out. But this is how people ship radios to me - ALL THE TIME ! ( this was a nice looking UX1; before it was shipped; face was cracked, no FM and dead cassette when I opened the box and tested it. )
http://berlinetta.info/video/dsadowski24.mov
The other thing that worries me is that some radios just can't be fixed. ( Thankfully I've learned this after working on my own stuff. ) I've replaced the commonly failing CAPs, Then any other CAPs that might be bad, then the AMP Chip, then even the ***** board and STILL had a speaker channel problem. Imagine; you spend $40-50 for shipping back/forth, I waste a few hours doing surgery on the head unit - and in the end: no one is happy with the results ! Just want to avoid that kind of thing from happening.
My thoughts on refurb will probably guide me to keeping it as simple as possible. Maybe offering TGO members some type of "core" value for their old units based on condition. This way, I'm not so worried about the way stuff gets shipped to me & if I screw up and drill the AUX jack hole "off" a little bit in face-plate,...... I just ruined my own faceplate and not someone else's radio.

Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
I'm gonna' put this head-unit back out-there. Had been holding onto this unit for another member for a few months. (Prepared radio in early September, expected transaction to be final in April. ) Hasn't been easy to find UX1's lately so here's the only fully functional Chevy UX1 I've got:
This deck uses the early style 'large' Radio Plugs and 'large' plug Antenna for 87 and earlier cars. There is also a note on the box it's stored in,... this radio has had the original Capacitors replaced. Correct radio plugs are included, radio brackets are extra if needed. Priced now as it was then; $210 + shipping/Insurance. Notice that the faceplate has chips in the cassette opening. There is 1 on each side and 1 at the top center. They actually make grabbing the cassette a little easier, faceplate looks good otherwise.
Send a PM for more info if your interested,...

Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
Sorry Bob, but no. I try to stay with 84-98 or so head units just to limit the amount of various types/styles of radios that I keep. ( just no room to expand and cover more years/models than that ! )
I did ask a couple people ( AKA; "Bandit guy" and "Monte guy" ! ) in the last couple days if they might have anything similar,..... but had no luck.
P.S. All packages shipped; all but 1 PM responded too. ( I've tested a couple decks today and will have an update for you later tonight Robert ! )

I know it's not the same radio your lookin' for Bob, & I'm sure you're not interested in it,...... just wanted to show you that this was the closest I could come up with; from an 82 Buick. Too bad 1 of the digits is missing from the display , radio works pretty good.

Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
Sgt; I do not have a factory stock 1984 Firebird UX1 radio available,... as a matter of fact I do not have any stock Thirdgen Pontiac UX1's at all right now. I do have other GM UX1 decks,...... but nothing 'factory stock' for the 84 Firebird. I'll keep you on a list for "wanted' head-units and If I'm able to find this particular radio in the near future I'll be sure to let you know. If you have a non-stock radio that you prefer - just post a pic and I'll see if I can find it for Ya' !

Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
Hi All,
I just wanted to say I have been PMing with John for some time now about getting myself a UX1 that was in very nice shape and getting an AUX cable installed. I have bought numerous things over the years from eBay, Kijiji, forums and other places. I am happy to report that John's communication as a seller is exemplary. If every seller was half as good as John is about communication it would be awesome.
I am the kind of buyer who is particular and asks a lot of questions. John was not only patient, he shared information openly to help educate me on what I was getting and the options in the process. Example: I had no idea that the S10 and Camaro decks were the same except for the display window tint or that there was a harness change from 87-88. He shared numerous pics and even a video. I have submitted payment and am excited to get my new-to-me original deck.
Thanks John!

Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
This Delco is from a 90's Pontiac (Firebird / Bonneville / Grand Prix ) Stock head unit in fully functional condition. The mounting brackets on each side might require a little trimming to fit; stock 88+ 3rd gen plugs will fit - but you've got to clip the retaining tab from the rear speaker connector. ( matching original radio plug included )
$70 + shipping; NO AUX modification on this radio !

Got Ya' Covered Gary, You have a PM !
Ron; Radio Brackets get shipped in the morning !
The_assman; I'll be digging around my workbench later tonight and will send you a PM once I can get a look at the 90-92 head-units I've got. Those are fully functional head-units,..... but as always; quality/condition will effect pricing. ( AUX on a cable - Got it ! )

Both types of radios have a 5-band Equalizer & I'm not sure if you have a preference ??? ( I should have the TBI Cable and thermostat housing you needed to.) & A BIG Thanx for the feedback !!!
Because I'm just getting home and still not even unpacked yet I've got a lot to do before I can start playing around get @ my workbench. Don't have much more I can add right now; but I'll be sending updates/PM's later tonight so guys have the details and info you need ASAP.

Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
I'm not too picky with what radio I get as long as it bolts in nice and is in decent condition.
I ordered the cable and thermostat housing already but I am in need of a heater blower resistor bridge. When I put the ac delete box on my car I forgot to save the later model one and the one that came with the delete box is for older cars.

Quick update while taking a break from the heat !
I've got the resistor pack you need for the HVAC Tyler..... I also do still have a UT4 EQ deck. Those radios are buried kinda' deep so I wasn't able to get pics of the exact head units that are available last night - but I expect to have some time later tonight and will send you a few pics as soon as I can. This is a older picture of the UT4 head unit so you know what it looks like:
To the_assman: Here's a pic of the 2 90-92 head units I've got. ( I've got 3 - but one already has a face-plate mounted AUX. )
The head-unit to the left is a little cheaper due to a few ( very minor ) defects when compared to the head unit on the right. Both have been restored but the radio on the LEFT is still basically in factory used condition ( new bulbs, replaced cassette mech ) while the radio on the RIGHT has been fully restored ( new bulbs, replaced cassette mech, & new capacitors ) I'll send a more detailed msg thru PM tonight - but wanted to post this pic now so you can at least see what I've got and know what kind of shape they are in.

Not you this time Bow_Tied,...... I was directing that at Ron in NH !
Lee; You Have a detailed PM.......
Tyler; You should have a new PM too !
Tom; I'll be sending you a PM very soon; probably tomorrow evening !
my82roc; I know the radio your mean; ( VERY NICE UNIT ! ) I sent the same unit to Matt in PA and he disappeared with it. I haven't begun installing the AUX Jack into the CDM type radios yet and I honestly don't know when I will. I'm having surgery at the end of August that will take me off my feet for a couple months so I will probably look into it then. I'll keep you in mind and will send you an update if/when things change !

Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
Back up to date with everyone..... !
Just an FYI to all; Been dealing with a bad left knee for awhile. After 4+ years I've finally accepted that surgery as a last option. ( scheduled in mid-late August. ) Well; Last week I took a nasty sprain to my right ankle & needless to say I'm not getting around too quick. My response time is going to vary for at least the next 2-3 months as I deal with this,...... If you don't hear back from me within a day or so, don't sweat it - you WILL hear back from me !

My response time is going to vary for at least the next 2-3 months as I deal with this,...... If you don't hear back from me within a day or so, don't sweat it - you WILL hear back from me !

Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
Sorry to hear about that, you better slow down or you’ll need a mobility scooter soon 😁
I’ll vouch for John, if you're patient he always gets back to.
John, I got my radio on Monday and it looks great, just as you described/pics. Gonna be a while till I installl it, August is very busy. Thanks again.

Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
Dude, my youngest sons new joke is to play "dad"...... He grabs a chair, turns it around and hobbles across the room as if he's using a walker. ( smart-ss knows I can't catch him right now ! )
Glad to hear the UX1 is now in your hands Ron. One more thing to you can cross off your Restoration 'to-do' list !

Re: Delco Radios with Aux jacks for sale
my82roc; Wanted to post this so you were UTD,...
This is the first CDM radio that I've successfully added an AUX jack to. I did the work about 3 weeks ago, just before the knee surgery. While I expected to get more involved in this modification after the surgery because I thought I'd be 'laid-up' for a couple weeks,..... I was able to walk around just a couple days after surgery and as soon as I could move I HAD to begin the tranny swap in my 05 Trailblazer. As a result I haven't been able to get back to working on these CDM radios yet.
I wanted to update this thread so your aware that I haven't forgotten about you and hope to get back to working on the CDM head units in the next week or so. Might be a little longer as I've got to finish stripping my totaled 04 Trailblazer so it can get scrapped ( need the room in my driveway ! ),...... but I am still working on this !
