Edit Fan ON/OFF Temperatures
Hi,
I want my fan(s) to come on earlier. I am runnig an AXXF.bin with $8D.xdf for my 91 LB9. I have a stationary Moates Ostrich 2 in my car connected to my 7730 ECM, so I can edit my bin and upload it to the Ostrich within seconds. But I can't find the Scalar for editing the Fan ON/OFF temperatures in TunerPro. Am I blind?
I have the stock dual fan setup WITH working A/C.
I just found a line in the "Tables/Functions" that says "Fan On/Off Coolant Temp Thresholds" but I don't know how to set these values.
I had a V6 LH0 before, in that bin I was able to change the on and off temperatures in the Constants/Scalars.
Isn't that possible here?
Please help me, I am a little bit confused.

Re: Edit Fan ON/OFF Temperatures
It's no different here. Just set the temperature you want the fan to come on and go off.
Note there is no fan 2 for Camaros. The fan 2 is controlled by a separate temperatrue switch, not the ECM.
what thermostat do you have?

Re: Edit Fan ON/OFF Temperatures
Thank you for your answer.
I am a bit confused by the name of the tables. Why is there a table "Fan" with 151,25 and a table "Off" also with the value 151,25? And then the table "1" with 107,75 and the table "Fan" again with 104,75? Which value do I have to change? Don't want to do anything wrong here... still a newbie in .bin editing.
I have the dual fan setup, the second fan is controlled by the switch in the passenger cylinder head, is that correct? I don't need to change this, I think the first fan on at about 97°C would be enough.
I have a fresh ACDELCO 12TP1D 180°F Thermostat, opens a little bit earlier.
Thanks

Oh I see what's going on... the table entries are kinda strange yeah... no wonder you're confused! lol...
Ok, so ignore the top two entries that are saying 151.25. Those are for Fan 2 (and for that matter, should be labeld Fan 2 On and Fan 2 Off). Your ECM does not control Fan2, so again, ignore those.
On the bottom two entries, the top one that says 107.75 should be labeled Fan 1 On. The one that shows 104.75 should say Fan 1 Off.
Not sure why the xdf file has them labeled like that.
Any rate, the temps are in °C... With my 180F T-stat, I have mine set to come on at 190F (88C) and go off at 180F (82C). My huge Ford Taurus fan that I swapped in has the capability to cool the engine down past the T-stat temperature... lol... so I keep it at or above the T-stat temp.
