History / OriginalityGot a question about 1982-1992 Camaro or Firebird history? Have a question about original parts, options, RPO codes, when something was available, or how to document your car? Those questions, answers, and much more!
I will say though, Many years ago my car did look sorta brown at night when I parked in store parking lots that were lit with HPS type lighting. I remember seeing it as I came out of a store one night thinking, wow, it looks brown! I don't think many lots use those type of lights anymore? Most are LED or metal halide I believe.
It's pretty straight forward, if you have something that all the usual suspects say doesn't exist, all you have to do is share the documentation. A nice clear photo of the list of RPO codes inside the console goes a long way to authenticating the story.
Otherwise, we're likely to assume the new member making the claim is either confused, or is telling tall tales. Documentation is awesome.
You wouldn't happen to have some documentation, would you Todd? Pretty please? Sugar on top?
Edit: Todd's avatar image, fullsized.
Well, if he would have just posted that pic, we could have told him that's dk red met. I just wonder where the Russet Brown/Dark Brown WA code came from?

Ok. Here we go again with a new person, with only 2 posts, claiming something against the experts with no proof.
Greg, welcome to the forum, but if you have read this thread, and decided to chime in to state something that you have proof of, please provide the proof. Otherwise, you're just stirring the pot and trolling.
That picture will be found years from now as proof there is a brown IROC-Z. If only my skills could make it look like it's not Photoshopped!
Its close enough to imagine, "what if"
Now I really want a brown & gold Iroc. I have always liked brown metallics. so the question is would the brown have gone better with the early or late gold accent wheels?
