Snap On Verus Edge
Probably nothing that hasn't been done but I got the correct adapters to run my Verus Edge on my GTA today. I'm still at work so all I got to do was watch live data. When I get home I'm gonna test the limits and see what all I can do. Anyone else who has done this please chime in with any pointers.

Please update after you use it how well it works and how you like it... i.e. Does it get hung up like other scanners with the 165 ecu, etc

Re: Snap On Verus Edge
Ok, so I spent about an hour with my scanner hooked up to the trans am and this thing is awesome, it has all the old tsbs stored, freeze frame is awesome and it doesn't mess with the ecm like some scanners. I can even go into transmission and it has all kind of tips on the 700r. Even has instructions for proper adjustment of kick down cable. I knew I had something going on with my car as its idle is a little off. My blms are 108 so I got a little work to do in order to achieve 128. This scanner is what I use daily to help make a living and is a little pricey at 6k new. We work on 2005 and newer all makes but have been itching to try on a third gen. I do have a mid 90s Cornwell we call the boat anchor but it don't hold a candle to this one. Here's some pics.

Forgot to mention that it has a 4 channel lab scope instead of a 2 channel which is awesome for testing sensors.

looks quite nice... on the real time and stored data are you able to line chart (graph) the data ... also can you download the data into an excel file for more detailed analysis later?

Yes I can line graph the data and download it. This is just pure coincidence but last night while I was experimenting, the Trans Am was running great. I unplugged my scanner and cut car off. Go out this morning and will not start. No fire what so ever. Pulled cap and pigtail for control module showed their age as well as rest of distributor as it is original to the car. I bought a brand new distributor and Accel coil and all is back to normal. For a few minutes I was scratching my head wondering what in the world did screw up with this scanner lol. I'm still playing with it and will post a video soon. I know it's overkill for our needs on these cars but I have it and figure it's worth experimenting with. Problem with me is I have abundant knowledge on anything OBD2. I know the basics on our cars. I am thankful for this site and the knowledge everyone contributes. Next on my list is the ability to burn chips.
