New Tires - Stock 15inch Wheels?

Ok, I am a bit of a stock guy so just had my original 92 RS wheels restored. The car is black with silver wheels, again, stock. My tires are stock 215/65R15. I would like to go to raised white letter (because I like the look). My question is, does anybody make RWL tires in this size besides the BF Goodrich Radial T/A? I would go with those except the reports on them are not that good. So, looking to see what else is out there. I see other sizes in RWL but don't want to screw up the handling or change rim sizes. Thanks.

There's nothing wrong with BFG Radial T/As. Step up to a 235/60R15.

Seems Like The Major Complaint Is The White Letters Turning Brown Quickly.

The new formula isn't as good as it used to be, but it'll still keep your whites looking brite. Heck, I use it to keep my black sidewalls from turning brown.

So, how are the handling characteristics with the 235/60R15?

Any tire rub with them on the stock 92 RS?

Does it change the speedo reading or mileage?

How is the mileage rating on them? That is one thing I heard bad about BF Goodrich.

Thanks all....

Re: New Tires - Stock 15inch Wheels?

They're OK, they're still a 15" tire, so handling is going to be less ideal than say a 16 or 17, but they'll ride nicer. More sidewall so more cushion, narrower so they're less likely to pull into ruts in the road. For what they are, the handling is really decent.

They're a stock size tire, HO Z28s came with them stock. The only rubbing that might occur will be with the steering wheel almost at lock.

Pretty sure they're a 400 treadwear tire. I always got good tread life out of them, and I drove my cars HARD.

Anyone else have any thoughts on these? I am a little concerned about rubbing although I don't turn lock to lock all that often.

They Were A One Year Only Factory Option On The Z28 In 1986,They Should Fit With No Problems.
