Buddy hit a deer couple months ago, and just about fixed and finished with new bumper and hood. Also built 383 being swapped in place of 305.

lol I've tamed down as I've been up here. Didn't really comprehend "handling" coming from Florida but fun to let the back end spin out around bends. Yea the scenery is beautiful. Love cruising through these mountain roads. I'm sure cruising through Tennessee and smokeys would be a dream.

Re: Post your firebird pics
Just picked up this one for $750 last week..
Best thing about the car was I bought it from Richard Brickhouse!!!!!
"Richard Brickhouse is a retired NASCAR driver. He is best known for winning the inaugural Talladega 500 in 1969"
So, when I got the car, it "ran when parked" it sat for 10yrs when the carb was removed to rebuild it and never got around to it.
Intake manifold was stuffed with paper towels and a cooler lid was on top of the motor to keep the elements out.
This weekend I checked the oil, and it looks like I just put it in the day before, nice clear, and full with no hint of moisture! Checked the radiator, and bright green, full and clear..
Threw in a battery and hit the key, engine turned over free, and it started shooting fuel out of the open fuel line.. I had planned on hooking up an electric pump and draining the tank, but the fuel actually didn't smell bad..
I had an old Edelbrock carb in the garage and threw it on, gave it a shot or two of starter fluid, and it fired right up and settled into a nice idle! Actually sounded decent!
So far I am happy with my $750 purchase, lol..

Wow, another one that was a steal. Good work. And yes, the Brickhouse tie in is a big plus for us stock car fans.

Re: Post your firebird pics
So, little progress on the Yellow Formula on the UHaul trailer just above..
Got it running and driving good around the yard. Replaced all the exterior bulbs, lights all work now. Replaced the 3 plastic bushings in the LH headlight motors gearbox and got that working.
RH side headlamp has a broken brush in the motor, so I will probably just replace that whole assembly as one unit.
Also pressure washed it. Still needs paint, but definitely looks better.

I'd peel off the 5$ dealer added stripe and drive it as is! I think it looks killer the way it sits!

Can't get fuel injection to work. Not getting any pulse to injectors while cranking. Only starts on starting fluid but still wont run. It did run with carb so going back to carb. and HEI dist. doing away with computer.

New member here. I bought this '91 GTA over the weekend. It's a 5.7L with black leather interior. I won't be able to drive it again until the spring, but the drive home was awesome.

Nice...where did you get those seats? I have red interior as well and always wondered what it would look like with black seats.

Run the car without it, see if it grows on you as is first. If you want the decals you can throw them on.
I'm partial to the clean look it has now, but thats just personal preference.
