Re: ohming the ICM and ESC

The esc circuit would cause a code 43 if it malfunctions.

thank you very much. I just want to check it without having to take out my cap and rotor...

I have a weird issue.. I just want to trouble shoot. but it could be plugs. I have not pulled them out yet.

Re: ohming the ICM and ESC

sure ill do the best I can, its really weird.(its my gremlin with my car)

so she was running pig rich, afr was 12.0+/- afr constantly, timing was wacked. ran rough and like poop, you could hear it through the exhaust as well it was as if it was running off 7 cylinders, maybe less, but the weird thing is that I just got tunerpro rt and swapped over to the $6E bin and that's when she started running like crap. after trying a couple of tunes she still ran like *** so I ended up even going back to my stock tune and she still ran like crap. well I let the car sit for a couple of days and when the weather cleared up a bit I decided to pop in this new $6E bin again and drive it, so I did, at first she ran like **** than about 15 minutes into the drive BAAAAMMM!!! I had all power + some more back, she has been running great since then. I know my maf was bad but had it unplugged, and still do,,, but when she was running bad she wouldn't even idle with it unplugged.

I'm thinking my ecm is intermittent going bad, and will be getting a new bosch maf unit.

since than the car has been great, I did check the timing and it was at 4 degrees so bumped it back to 6. I thought maybe it was a bad distributer but I'm not sure, I'm going to replace my ecm just to be sure.

so ya, its a gremlin.
