NOS passenger side TPI fuel rail fuel line paint code needed for resto
I am in process of building an NOS TPI fuel rail for my yellow 92 GTA and I am trying to have it look as close to original as possible. With the passenger side fuel rail, part #: 17113229, the fuel line itself is a sparkly silver color instead of the light gray paint color the car came with originally. The paint should look like the Tube Kit, part #: 17113252. Enclosed are pics of what I am working with. Does anyone know the correct paint code for the fuel line?

All mine seem to have a few gold specks in the paint too.

I'd imagine that an existing pipe is too small for the auto body supply shop to just zap it with their scanner and match it, but that's probably the first thing I'd try. Followed shortly after by taking a small sample (existing painted tube) to Home Depot or whatever home improvement labyrinth you prefer, and take it to the paint department. Start comparing your sample with the demo paint chips until you find the one you feel matches the closest. Then take your "Rustic Desert Sage" paint chip card to the body supply store, and have them tint a paint to match.
Finding the paint chip before wasting the body shop's time is probably a good idea.

Re: NOS passenger side TPI fuel rail fuel line paint code needed for resto
Hi there,
I just took a part to the local hobby shop and got some Testors model paint that was close, and painted the part with that color. I am guessing unless you take the part off and compare it with a NOS original, you would be hard pressed to see the difference.
My engine definitely looks better now without the flaky paint and rusty parts.
