Sounds good. I have an RV camping trip in mid November so if the event is not during that weekend then I'll be there with my bird. I have a buddy with a 2nd gen TA that may go as well....gold Smokey and the Bandit model.
Awesome ! Well, if it doesn’t Interfere with the trip, I’ll see you there !
New here. I live in NWFL (just east of Pensacola) and have bought a 1988 Sport Coupe to work on with my 15 yo son (to be his first car) Has it's issues, but it's a 30 yo car. Looking forward to learning here. Thanks.
st. cloud here. I don't get on here much anymore. There used to be a meet here at the sonic in st. cloud. Couldn't tell you much about it though. I work nights......
Can't keep 'em clean enough. Both are 2002s. Lowered on Strano springs. Long tube headers, high flow cats, (no rasp) Loudmouth 2 mufflers, each exiting through stock tips. Both still smell like new inside.

Thanks, Jason. I knew 2002 was gonna be the last year of production for Trans Ams, so I bit the bullet. Drove the ws6 off the lot & ordered the Firehawk. Roughly 3 months later, I drove it home. Love my birds.
Looking at the sign on the building where the IROC is parked I see you're in the Sarasota area. I wish you were in the 954 so we could meet up and talk f bodies and I could check out those birds and maybe take one for a spin.
Bought both new in 2002. Cars sitting side by side, backed into my garage, the more I looked at the rear of them, the less I liked the stock ws6 up level spoiler. The Firehawk has every available option from both GM & SLP.
This is the SLP option list for my car. Passenger door sticker. The unique rear deck spoiler, commonly referred to as the Iroc spoilers it was modified after the rear spoiler on the iroc race cars when they ran Firebirds. I think that spoiler makes the car so much cooler looking, that I HAD to put one on my ws6. What I do for 1 bird, I do for the other. Can't play favorites.

Chris,
I am curious, is this the ScarabChris that owned a Wellcraft Scarab Sport with Twin Evinrudes? And had/has a business in Hollywood, FL?
Thanks a lot, matt. The truck is my daily driver. I keep it clean, but since I drive it every day, it gets dirtier than the f bodies before getting a bath.
This is after an overnight shower. What I came out to in the morning.
Awesome 2 birds. If I was old enough at the time (which I definitely was not) i probably would have picked up a 2002 myself. Wish my Iroc looked that nice. I overpaid for mine but it is what it is. Was looking for an all-original one but when i stumbled upon the one I have now it got the better of me lol.

matt, my Iroc looks good from 10 feet away. Up close, it has some warts. Enough to warrant a complete respray. Looking for another show quality painter, as the one who said he would do it, backed out. Gotta bring it up to the level of my birds.
New third gen owner here wondering if there are any meets happening in Sourh Florida? I know winter nationals is coming up in Orlando soon as well as the Fbody Gathering anyone heading to these events?
great looking car, think I'm gonna paint mine white!
[QUOTE=ScarabChris;6200378]Damn man nice cars! That black/blue WS6 is especially sweet![/QUOTE It's blue. Navy blue metallic. Love that color. It has black interior, tires & the plastic under the hood.
2 birds , that is one gorgeous IROC and very very similar to mine - black/black but with the red trim stripe. Has 37K miles on it but was sitting for about 14 years and had to pull the motor. Needs to be repainted.
Killer fleet birds. Obv love the IROC. Curious as to what you mean by WS6 IROC though..isnt that the ~equivalent suspension for the GTA?
Sorry Sir, missed your post, which I will address now. It's officially called an Iroc WS6. Iroc refers to the Firehawk spoiler that I bought & had color matched to navy blue. In official literature from the day, the spoiler is called the 'unique rear decklid spoiler'. Common terminology called it the Iroc spoiler, as it was modeled after the IROC series when they ran the 4th gen Firebirds. Toned down considerably from race trim, but still the baddest looking spoiler to be put on a 4th gen. Blows away the stock ws6 up level spoiler.
Whats up Florida fellas, I’m new to the Thirdgen scene. I have a Purple haze 92 Camaro RS 25th Anniversary on 20” irocs,I’m from North Miami Beach. Ive had it for about 2 weeks now. I love how iy drives and the looks I get.
Just putting out feelers... nothing I want to move on immediately...
I have a 91 Formula... and I got so much going on, progress on it is at a CRAWL....
Looking for someone I can pay that is familiar with these cars, that can begin putting it back together and doing minor mechanical / electrical things... has the space to store it inside, etc...
Examples...
Reverse Lights not working, Have Reverse Switch to replace in T5
Setup SLP Cold Air Intake
New Starter
Adjust Windows, I put in new Seals, etc...
Currently, the entire interior is out, I did SEM, but didn't come out good... I used the "prep" spray, saw Firebird Central say they have better results with NOT using that, but then using SEM semi gloss sealer, etc...
I got new door panels that need installing, seats redone, new headliner / material, etc...
I can get minor upholstery done elsewhere...
Anyone know of anyone (or yourself) that is possibly interested?
My mother in law got sick, my wife stopped being a teacher to take car of her, she passed, her house, etc... I got a new job that is busier than before and I just REALLY want to start enjoying my ride...
I got all the sound equipment, speakers / amps, deck, etc....
It is a Knight Rider Replica, so if you're allergic to KR, then step aside

Just the other day, I ran across a black 88 or 89 Iroc with the red & black stripes. Looked so good, as I had not seen one with that color combo in years. Mine HAD to have the blue & black stripes. More rare in my area back when they were everywhere. I miss those days.

Welcome to TGO Rob, I'm in Hollywood. Maybe we can meet up one day.

I second the welcome and definitely agree those of us on this need to get together sometime. I am currently in the BVL (Kissimmee) area. I have noticed we are a bit stretched out.

2 birds, Just out of curiosity (and it took me a sec to realize that car you saw could not have been mine lol) where are you located?
