My brush with Players Challenge
In October of 1986, Hardees restaruants along with GM got together to bring the Players Challenge cars to Cincinnati. The drivers and crews got to come to the plant and tour the facility, and on the weekend they put on a race at my local track, Queen City Speedway. I somehow manage to find a team #57 that needed help, and since I was already on a couple of pit crews there normally, they accepted me. After the race we got together at their hotel to watch in car videos of the race and chat. While at the track, the Players Challenge Tech Mechanics let me bring my IROC over since it was an L-69, and they hooked it up to the diagnostic equipment. I have attached the printout they gave me for those who area interested, along with a pic of them checking my car. Everyone was extremely nice and helpful. What a great weekend we had. As I mentioned before, I was living a dream back in the mid eighties. So blessed! Enjoy!

The players series paper later reported on the Queen City event in the periodical and they sent several copies to Norwood Management. Enjoy!

Very cool pics. I love the front brake rotor pic where you can see where they re-drilled the holes.
I have the race program from this race. Never quite knew what it was for or the history. The pics help fill it in.
