Custom white letter tire decals

Custom white letter tire decals
Sooo apparently I've been living under a rock, and didn't realize that these were available as decals, and how popular they had become. I just thought some of the high end tires were now offering it as an option, similar to how my BFG All Terrains on my Trailblazer are black on one side, white on the other.
I've always loved white letters, and had white letters 15" BFG comp TAs on my 86 Sport Coupe back in High School. I also remember how the 16" wheeled cars kinda brought a new more modern look, and was torn as to whether they looked better with, or without white letters.
Fast forward to today. Colored lettering is back, like it or not. I mocked this up, just to SEE what I thought. I don't know if I love it or hate it. Seriously. I don't know if I love that the look is back! I don't know if I HATE how trendy it is. Is it old school? It is trendy? It's just photoshop, and I have no real intentions of doing it. I don't even know if I like it, just thought it'd make a good discussion.
Fire away. -I will say that I do NOT like the crazy custom decals. Only the more traditional "musclecar" looking letters.

Having nothing to do with my car per se...
...I think the red Hellcat, with the MT tires looks good. The black Hellcat with the red custom graphics, ehhhh....neat...but, mehhhh ....and the Heidts thirdgen, hate to say it but that looks downright laughable. Kills the car IMHO, regardless of what kind of cars it's on. TOO much lettering. Let the tires be tires!

This "Bad A--" car belongs to a guy here and is one of my very favorites.
These tires come with the White Letters option and look "great" on it.
How long would stick on letters last and how do you match them up to the different styles ?
I do not need them but would be interested to know.

Supposedly they're permanent, at least from one site I saw. Certianly "long term" I'm sure, if not actually permanent. Tirestickers.com ...they have TONS of different options, but they also have a custom option, in which case I'm SURE they'd require a vector file format of whatever artwork/design you'd want. ...if you're seriously interested, PM me. I'm a graphic artist, and can work up something for you.

I've noticed this too, and I do like it. Here in SoCal, you see everything on the road, and it's the large, fat letters, such as NITTO, that seem to be at the forefront of this current revolution. I can't say I knew it was paint or decals, but it makes sense because I would be surprised to think manufacturers are producing their street tires this way.
But once stylish or not, white letters have never gone out of style in racing circuits. Whether the manufacturers produce the tires that way, or it's paint/decals to promote their sponsorship, throughout all the years, we've never stopped seeing the names, GOODYEAR EAGLE and FIRESTONE in large, fat, white or yellow letters on race car tires. And given the evolution of passenger cars, becoming as powerful as race cars right off the assembly lines, I think it's influenced the "racing tire" appearance on passenger cars. And if I had a set of racing tires, or if my car looked like it was purely a track car, then yes, I would do it. But it's not, so I am not likely to do it.

White lettering is as tacky as a guy wearing football spandex pants in public.

I think white letters have their place. ....where that place is, and where to draw the line is of course a matter of opinion. I think it's fine on old classics and race cars. "Some" modern performance cars can pull it off, but I think most nowadays look a little silly.

It's as tacky as Richard Rawlings with his red Gucci shop rag tucked in his rhinestone, ripped, skinny jeans pants pocket.
