Help Identify These Engine Mounts
Not on a thirdgen but I am trying to determine the engine mounts that someone has welded to the sub frame of this 79 Trans Am. Looking at the car as my first 2nd gen. Since they are welder I'd really like to determine if they are chevy, pontiac, or olds before grinding the welds off.
I can't find any part numbers to look up. The car originally came with a 403 but there was a lot of work done to the suspension and these mounts were on the car when the current owner purchased it.
Thank you for any help you guys can offer!

Looks like standard clamshell motor mounts. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/a...SABEgKb3PD_BwE

Re: Help Identify These Engine Mounts
Sorry I missed the link earlier, and I figured that was the reason they would have welded them but the car is sooooooo far from being ready for an engine to go in. ( And it is a ttop car so not sure how high hp they were going to go )

Well there really isn't a need to weld them. When you start getting to the HP where you would need to weld motor mounts, you should be running solid mounts anyway. Just use an angle grinder and cut the welds if you want to replace the mounts with new ones. With a T-top car, the first thing you will need regardless of HP is some subframe connectors. If you can't get aftermarket, you can build your own.
