CarburetorsCarb discussion and questions. Upgrading your Third Gen's carburetor, swapping TBI to carburetor, or TPI to carburetor? Need LG4 or H.O. info? Post it here.
Third carb. This spread bore Holley had an AMAZING sound, ran great, but wouldn't cooperate with the 700R4, so it was replaced with a square bore Holley. Then the transmission died...
you guys and your rubber fuel line, especially stuff running in such close proximity to the exhaust components. that's a fire waiting to happen. run as much hardline as you possibly can guys, and use rubber only for the connections, or spend a few extra dollars on some braided stainless or quality pushlock hose (like the aeroquip socketless hose) and some AN type fuel filters. that little plastic fuel filter has been known to burst. just don't want to see anyone's pride and joy burn up because of an oversight.

Thanks, Rob. Your engine up there looks like a beast! Looks great!
My goal was old school and as simple as you can get! Anything not necessary to the function of this engine was removed from the engine compartment, which was a lot of wiring & hoses.
