Functional Hood Louvers
Just wondering if anyone knows what happened to the guy making functional louvers. His website was Camarolouvers.com but looks like the domain expired. was thinking of a way to open up the louvers for heat extraction and came across his design and they were sweet

Re: Functional Hood Louvers
Is he going to be doing another run in the future? The way his website looked it seemed like he was making and selling then fairly consistently

Re: Functional Hood Louvers
He had originally only planned one run I think, but made another because there was demand. I don't think he ever intended to get into business doing it, and my understanding is he has no intention of making them again.
....that being said, Track Spec now makes them too. Not as nice in my opinion from a design point of view, but quality "appears" to be similar. These go down into the hood where as Krio's came up out of the hood, more similar to stock. Also, there's 2 fewer louvers. Hey, I'd run 'em if I didn't get a set of Kerry's. I think the Detroit Speed Iroc is also running Track Spec louvers.

Re: Functional Hood Louvers
I wish he would get in business, such a nice design!!!
Thanks for that link, I saw the Detroit speed car and was wondering if those were custom pieces by DSE. Glad there are more options.

There was a guy on the fabrication message board talking about custom sheet metal pieces bus friend may look into building. I suggested he make louvers because the prices that the other two places charge is indefensible. It's a couple of laser cut slats and a frame with a single spine. Check out the thread and holler at the guy.
