New Gauge overlays

New Gauge overlays
...so I'm doing lots of little things to get ready for Super Chevy next weekend, and I've been on a "stock" kick lately. ...or at least, "closer" to stock, lol. I've had overlays for a few years that replicated the look of Autometer Pro-Comps, and they looked good....but as I said I wanted to go closer to stock. Never like the white pointers, so I kept them orange, and went with the Eurostile bold font.
I also polished my clear plastic lens. Meguiar's Plastic polish to the rescue! Came out pretty good!
Previous overlays, with the silver bezel
Current overlays as of tonight! -Black stock bezel and polished lens. (no lens in first pic.)

Re: New Gauge overlays
They both look nice, but I prefer the Autometer style.

Yes, I printed them. I manage a sign shop here in town.
The funny thing about which one is better....I too, like the autometer better. However.....sometimes less is more. Like how a 230hp bone stock, great condition car can be better than a 500hp hot rod! ...that being said, we'll see. I'm not 100% sold on my "new" overlays yet. Thankfully I can make 'em myself.

Man, I'm working on trying to be able to produce these where they're able to be installed by anyone, but it's tough. I'm printing on vinyl, so they're basically a big sticker. They're such a pain to install, and it always takes multiple attempts. Anything I do to make them thicker and easier to install affects appearance, and vice versa.
It's just hard.

If it were easy, everyone could/would do it.
