Yep, came in yellow and red too. The Pontiac Oakland Club International (POCI) magazine Smoke Signals did a great article on them within the last year or so.
One of the last great Pontiac magazines left that I know of.

Re: Post 1 Pic Actually At A Car Show Event
Thank you sir.
To be honest, this was my first real "show". I watched my brother show cars for years, and I know mine needs a level of work, detailing, and prep that I was not able to give it this year. But I'll keep working on it, getting a little better each year. It's a friendly crowd, and I did receive quite a few compliments and positive comments on the car. So it was a lot of fun.

Funny you should mention it Franny, but yes, they were mentioned several times. When we pulled in around 10:30pm or so on Friday night, the lot was alive with people out walking around, enjoying a beverage, and talking cars, saying hello to old friends, etc. Three guys sitting on the bench under the entry canopy to the hotel...first thing they yelled out before I even came to a stop..."Hey, I like those red wheels". They were the topic of discussion several more times during the weekend.

I think the wheels you are talking about was a different car. Mine are stock finish. There was another car with polished wheels that did look very nice

There was discussion on here last year about printing dash plaques with TGO names to help spot members, but something was said about copyright issues with logos so nothing happened. I think it would be nice to meet some of the people.

Re: Post 1 Pic Actually At A Car Show Event
I actually printed a sign with my username, and all of the sites that I'm on.
But I forgot to put it in the window on Saturday, and with the hood up, you couldn't see it walking by. As a result, no one approached me and said "I'm on such-and-such a forum also".
I tried to start a thread here to find out who was going. The only "logical" place was in the mid-west region forum, where there was a thread last year. But that garnered little attention. And if someone was coming in from outside the mid-west, they probably didn't even look in the sub-forum.
I asked JT about posting it in with the handful of shows that have their own sub-forums, but he rightly pointed out that those are shows where all 3rd gens. are welcome (not just Pontiacs), and also shows run by forum members.
So there just didn't seem to be a good, high-volume place to post about it.

I missed all the good shows around me by the time I got the car back from being painted, but some local cruise nights still draw 100+ cars and are a good time! Haven't seen a lot of third gens.

Re: Post 1 Pic Actually At A Car Show Event
Car show this past weekend, somewhere North of 200 entrants. Didn't win my class, they gave it to one of the older guys in the car club that had a 100% stock 99 Plymouth Prowler. Same story with the 2000-2010 class. Rather than stew about it I'm going to get on the committee for this car show and change the way they judge. I've seen some good examples of judging score sheets that gave enough points to modifications to level the playing field against 100% stock cars that sit under car covers and maybe see 100 miles a year.
