Re: tpi motor pics
mine is a bit sloppy, but it works just fine, a nice TPI with valve seals to be replaced. Don't have much money nor time, here in Italy, to bring it new
Does it look nice or bad?

Pardon my rats nest of spark plug wires, something I did back in 1992. She's just now coming out of storage after a long, long rest..... its 99% factory baby! Amazingly, the original hood struts still work!

Re: tpi motor pics
Lot of nice Tpi setups, I noticed a lot of rubber boots with the stainless piping and was wondering what size adapter you used that fits the throttle body when crushed down (to oval shape). PO put a lt1 elbow on mine but the clamps hit the alternator

Re: tpi motor pics
Here is my TPI, which I am very proud of. Currently it has SLP runners with a port matched plenum, Holley AFPR and that's about it for now (Intake-wise anyways). In a month or two when it warms up I am going to be installing my ported base manifold with 22/lb injectors, top-end stainless steel bolt kit, braided fuel lines, aluminum underdrive pullies and open up the siamese more in the runners.

Here's my mostly stock 91 TPI. Cleaned up the engine bay and did so added color touches. The red plenum and dist. cover is a vinyl wrap.

Re: tpi motor pics
This is how it sits now. FIRST TPI, Hooker 2055's into a full 3 inch exhaust minus the cat (previous owner removed it,) Flowmaster 80. CAI with a SU145 MAF. Runs nice, but you can tell the factory heads and cam don't work well with this intake and exhaust.
This is the pile I have been building up in preparation for my next upgrades. Jegs/Profiler 195 heads, Scorpion narrow body 1.6 RRs, Comp 268 XFI, 2400 stall FTI converter, Dynomax 3" in / dual 3" out muffler to replace the restrictive Flowmaster currently on the car and some nice new tips. All the stuff to finish my "LS1" front brake swap, including Earls SS lines for the whole car. Solid Motor mounts. Accel 300+, Racetronix fuel pump harness and an Aeromotive 340 Stealth to replace my ailing Walbro 255. I also have a set of UMI Sfc's ready to be installed when I get the chance. I am excited to get this stuff installed.
And yeah, My engine bay is well past due for a good cleaning. Been on a few gravel roads lately and it really shows lol.

Re: tpi motor pics
It runs fine. Stronger than the stock TPI even. But seat of the pants feels like it is happier in an RPM range that the stock iron L98 heads and cam just can't support. Bit of a loss in off idle torque feel, good mid range push and you can tell it's better on the higher end but that's about when the heads and cam drop off. Something my new heads and cam will do much better with when they get installed.

Re: tpi motor pics
I too have a First intake (not on yet, gonna port and siamese the top half), my fully ported - partly siamese-ed tpi/SLP setup - I rev to 5500 (mhp and e.t. the whole way) and sometimes 5600.
I've got LTs and an open Y-pipe, the sound is LEGENDARY to say the least and leaves people worried and nervous. lol
-Procharger also in the works
