Re: posi 1987 4612825 Unit

Can you carefully count the splines for the axles and teeth on the ring gear? Also, the diameter of the ring gear is important. I may want this as a backup. Thanks

Re: posi 1987 4612825 Unit

Just a suggestion here - auburn posi's are better when you have taken them apart to show how much if any are left on the cones and to make sure they're not cracked
if cones are worn out or cracked its a paperweight most people know to avoid used unless its internally inspected and shown in pics
on the down side they are a PITA to get springs and plates reinstalled if all is good, hope this helps

Re: posi 1987 4612825 Unit

I have no idea on what series it is. I don't know why it was in the car. The car had a posi in it. I just don't need it, and hate to through it away.
Im not taking it apart. I have too many things apart, to fight to put it back together.

Re: posi 1987 4612825 Unit

And you know, not to steer you away. But I don't know if it goes in a third gen or what. $25 bucks? It should have been sold by now. I'd take that for what it is. And I know nothing about rear ends.
