Re: Pocket's Harness
It's not a cheap shot and I'm sorry that you took it that way. My point was, and still is, another person put a LOT of time, effort, and knowledge into what he did. It is not right (and may not be legal) to attempt to get for-profit companies to copy that. He often helped out and gave guidance to many people, but he may not desire that his time, effort, and knowledge be picked up, copied, and sold by companies without he receiving any royalty for his efforts. I'm sorry that I offended you, that wasn't my intent.

Re: Pocket's Harness
We may have to pass out some chill pills...
Pocket has said if you want to get a hold of him, to send him an email from the Board (not an IM) - go to his profile, click on the "Send Message" tab menu, and select "Send a message via email to Pocket" option. His job takes him out of town a lot, and he simply doesn't have time to spend on the forums sifting through threads and answering questions. Personally, I haven't tried to contact him, but those I've directed per the above have not come back and told me that didn't work.
From Speartech's website:
Speartech Fuel Injection Systems, Inc., is owned and operated by John Spears, a lifelong car enthusiast.
John was a GM electrical systems engineer for 23 years with a good portion of that time spent in engine controls and ignition system development.
John's GM job assignments were widespread and included the following:
- worked in the Delphi engine dynamometer area developing many of today's GM ignition systems.
- worked on the GM Cold Startability Taskforce, which focused on improved engine computer calibrations for quick starting engines in cold weather.
- headed up the Delphi PCM subsystems laboratory, which dealt with the interface between the PCM and the ignition system.
Doubt he needs tutoring on the demand, or the tech. I've only heard good things about him (here, and on other car forums).
Painless is a big shop and has their own market targets. Doubt we'll influence them one way or the other.
Monitoring the behavior of people/businesses known on TGO to provide 3rd gen products is not my role. Monitoring how members act on the Board is.
Fair enough?
